Bodyguards And Assassins
I hardly watched Chinese movies nowadays cos they usually produced the same type of movies. I have to say that I am happy to have seen this movie as it surpass my expectations of this movie. With a lot of big stars and a good story plot in this movie, it can be one of the best chinese movie of the year. The simple story line of protecting somone important during a trip to Hong Kong and what happen to the people protecting him during that day. I give this movie 4 stars out of 5.

I fired you!
This morning, when I step into office, I was informed of a sad news. Based on the news, I intend to shift everything forward. So today after helping the company to get certification, which the company do not deserve at all, I threw in the letter.
It seems to me that the HR was prepared for it and she even dared to tell me straight in the face that she had checked my leave balance a few days ago. Hmm... Well she offered something that I do not agree to and in the end I got to teach my HR how to calculate my last day. She did not even ask me for reason of leaving etc. I really wonder did she ever did any HR stuff beforehand. OMG! I was happy that I got more than enough leave to offer me another week of break. Luckily I was prepared to leave on that day so I had cleared all my stuff and returned everything.
I am really happy to leave that forsaken place and hope I will never ever got to endure through that again. Good luck to whoever will be going to take over my position! I pity him. Oh boy!

Finally got the reply I want!
After a few months of searching, I finally got the reply that I have been waiting for! The call came while I was in the bus on my way home. I was excited to get what I want but was (a little) disappointed for what was offered.
Well my main aim is to get another job soon and it offered me what I want! I was relieved and was ready to move on. So when should I throw? Hmm....

Another 10km run
Today is the D date for another 10km run. Thought that I will be able to have time to train, in the end... ... managed to sq in a few slow jogs / walk session a few weeks leading to the run.
So went in unprepared and just decided to run when I can, walk if I cannot. Haha... Managed to reach the starting line in time for the flag off (not in the front of cos), after 1 hr 37 mins later, I finally reached the finishing line. Nothing much to talk abt the run, except I am not the last one to return to the finishing line. Haha...
Looking back at the last 2 runs, I think I am the only person that the more I run, the more my timing got worse. Haha... Undeterred, I decided to take part again next year and hope that I will be able to train for it and improve my timing. Maybe a personal best? Haha...

Broadway Beng - Jiak Liu Lian!
Having missed this show for 2 yrs, I bought the tickets when it was released, especially hearing all the good reviews about the last 2 shows. To me, this is a must watch.
After watching the show, I have to say that the show is one of the better local productions that I have seen in the year. The Beng can really sing, in English, in Chinese and in Hokkien. The director was Royston Tan, which I can see a lot of 881 getai shadows in the show, which makes the show more Beng. Haha... The jokes are pretty much spot on and not to the point of lame. The Chios Bus in the show can also really sing. Haha....
I think this is one of the local production that I will be keen to watch when it returns with new ideas. Looking forward to the next show.

Paranormal Activity
This is reviewed to be one of the most scariest movie of the year. After watching it, I totally agree with the review. I was totally scared out of my wits during the show. To keep the suspense, I decide not to say anything here. Go and watch the show. This is one of the best show I watched this year. I giving 5 stars out of 5 for the scare factor!

2012
This is a movie that says all mankind will end on my birthday in 2012. Good news or bad news? Haha.... I wonder. So it began a scientist discovered something that have to do with the earth crust movement. One thing leads to another, the US president were informed and decided to start a plan to save mankind. The plan is to build 4 big ships (like Noah Ark) and have animals and human beings inside so that they can be saved from the big flood. Guess where the ships are being made: China! Haha....
The rest of the story plot are preditable with a hero trying to save a group of people / family. The CGI were good in this movie. So for this movie, I will give 3.5 stars out of 5.

STOMP 09
This is the second time that I caught them live. This time I am seating close to them to see their sweat flying around the stage.
After the show, I was totally blown away by them, I was impressed by them. How can they make noise out of those day to day items? Their timing is good and can see that the whole team is working together to perform such a good show. There was humour in the show which makes the show more interesting.
The format was more or less the same as I seen them in the first time but seeing them up close makes the difference. I really like the lighter part and the brooms part. Of course the ending was really "BOOMZ". Haha.... Just have to use that word. With all the clapping really makes my hands hurt. it will be good if they ask everyone to stand and dance to their music. That will be really cool!
If they coming again, I am so going to watch it again. Hmm... so now I am going to make some noise (music) now. Hee...

The Hossan Leong Show
Finally Hossan Leong decided to do his own talk show and it should be time that he does one as well. I do have a bit of expectation for his first one man show and have to say that after watching the show, I was a bit disappointed even though it was a refreshing way that he did the show.
The show was done in a TV game show format and game show means there are some prizes to be won but to be fair some of the prizes are even done in a lucky draw format. Clever leh. There are some funny witty lines from Hossan but there are some parts that I really do not understand like what is up with the part on Whitney Houston and Maria Carey. Erhh.... that is pretty much a long long time ago joke.
Overall, I think it was a good effort for Hossan Leong but will I pay to watch it again? Hmm.... Hee...
Sebastian Tan show is next and really hoping that it will be as good as what everyone is saying. Hee...

Thank you for nothing
I think today is the worst day of my work day in the so call new work place. After a delay for so long, my boss finally decided to talk to me. I was wondering how come it too him so long to find the courage to talk to me, after all he was not that busy for the past few days.
I knew what was coming up and I was correct. He just told me the whole crap and I just refused to say anything since I already my mind before he spoke to me. I think both parties at fault but then again I do not agree with the way that the matter was being handled. His points are way too off and he kept crapping on the same old points. To me he is not fit to be a boss as all. No EQ, No IQ! He is better off making roti pratas as he has shown that he had changed his decision faster than a roti prata man flipped his roti prata.
Well, since before this I already knew what is my next move and hope that I will be able to get it done soon. Dun lose hope!

The Time Traveller's Wife
After a "long" break of not watching any movies (for 2 weeks), we finally got the chance to watch this movie which she want to watch. I did have a bit of expectation for this movie before watching.
The movie is about a love story between a normal human being and a time traveller. It shuffles from time to time, a bit hard to catch the pace of the movie if not paying attention. The last bit was expected and not touching. I am wondering why there are gals crying their hearts out. Hmm.... The acting is pretty good but the story plot had gaps which did not explain a lot of things. Therefore a lot of questions marks by the end of the movie.
Overall, I give this movie 2 stars out of 5. I really find this movie quite a bore.

Feedback session
This morning, HR Manager suddenly want to meet me and talk to me. In the end, it became a feedback session of where I am supposed to improve on. Out of the 3 points that was mentioned, I am guilty of one but the rest that was brought up was rubbish. I listen and tried to explained myself. However now it seems like I cannot fit into the company culture. Felt so fustrated! If my boss is having some problem with me, i hope that my boss can talk to me direct and not through someone else, especially we are working in such a small company. Sigh....
Think it is really time for me to start to actively look for a job again.
To think after the session, it was ended with "Please let me have some justification to give you a pay raise". With my probation coming to an end, I am waiting to see if they are really going to give me a pay raise. What a joke!

Hmm.... knowing what I can expect to see in this movie, I was still shocked by the movie after watching it. Haha.... How can this kind of film be shown in the first place. It was crude, boring, not funny. Wasted my $$ and time on this movie. This had got to be the worst movie of the year. However got to admit that the lead was very brave to art in this movie. Haha.... The Reduced Shakespeare Company's ''The Complete Works of William Shakespeare''
I missed them when they first came to Singapore and decided to watch their show when they came again. I am not a big fan of literature and Shakespeare, knowing a few stories only. Therefore, with little expectation, I was pretty much surprised after watching the show. The energy of the 3 people were so good that they managed to reacted all or most of the stories.
It started a bit difficult to understand their accent initially, after a while, I got used to it,and began to enjoy the whole show. I have to say that if I were to see this when I was in my secondary school days, i would have loved literature. Haha....

Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince
This is one of the movies that I have to watch it this summer (Well since I am a big Harry Potter fan) and to prepare myself for this movie, I re-read the book before watching the movie. This is based on the 6the book of the Harry Potter series.
After watching the movie, I have to say that the movie managed to stay pretty faithful to the book but still I think the director should not omit some of the linking storylines, making the movie's flow not very smooth. Overall, I am still happy with the movie and going to give it 4 stars out of 5. They are going to break the last book into 2 parts, hope that this is going to be good.

10 years already!
Today went for a gathering with my Navy buddies @ BrewWorks whom we had stayed together and "suffered" for 11 mths! It happen that this year is our 10th year anniversary!
Other than catching up with each other and updating each other what we had been up to, it seems that a lot of us also became daddies and started talking about children! Haha.... Seems like a lot of us are also not in the service any more, and there is a few coming out soon as well.
It was fun and glad to see that most of the people actually made it a point to turn up at east even for a while! It really makes me think of the good old days where I used to "suffer" there! Even now they are still laughing that I am the slow runner when doing our 5BX in the morning!
From the organisers, this is a warm up, seems like there will be another even at the end of the year! Sounds good to me! Hee...

I decided to watch this movie based on good reviews. Apparently this is a sequel and I had not watch the first movie. It was a bit unbelievable for me when the heart was taken out and to be replaced by a battery and yet the male lead can do all the actions and sex in order to leave. Own Time Own Target
Did not managed to watch this play when it was first out last year, so when they decided to restage it this year, got tickets to watch this. It should be interesting as it talks about army life. Hee....
The play was made of of 2 stories, both army related. For the first story, I found it a bit draggy but the plot was interesting. For the second one, it was really funny but a little too far fetched. Overall, it was an "ok" play which had a few good laughs and brought back a lot of memories as well. I think there is a bit too much use of swear words, so much so that I overheard a lady asking her husband why are there so many swear words used? Haha....
This play is good for those below 18 and about to go into army to go and watch it. It might put them in a relax mode before they got enlisted. Hee....
Seem like there is a few more plays coming up. Anyone want to go and watch it with me? Hee....

My first day at work
Today is my first day at new work. It went pretty work. Nothing much there for me to do on my first day (Read: BORING!) as I do not have laptop yet. It seems like something went wrong with the laptop order and it will only arrive next week. Hee... Same for my new company phone as well.
All the new colleagues seems nice and friendly. I think I will need to get used to the new office culture. Seem like there are a few collegues that also just joined the company less than 3 months ago, so can say half of the company is pretty new. Hee...
The trip to home and back home was pretty uneventful, however I think I need to find a new way as changing from a bus to a train to bus is taking too much time and money. Maybe it is time to make use of the car allowance? Hee....
Leaving the office at 6pm also means that I am unable to attend my usual 6.30pm gym classes. Have to think of alternative ways to make use of my gym membership. Hee...
Ok, I will need to go to sleep now as I need to wake up early every day now, have to get used to it leh after slacking so long. Yawn!

New Month, New Beginning
Today marks another new month also another new beginning for me as I will be starting on my new job in another few hours time. I am now keying this as I could not go to sleep, due to excitement maybe.
I have been slacking for the past 2 months plus and sort of getting used to the slacking life. Haha.... I am now a bit afraid to start work as I do not know what to expect and I also feel a bit rusty at things as well.
I am also excited to know new people and to work in a new environment as well. Hope things will work out for me this time and there will be no issues too big for me handle as well. I think I also need to really understand the job scope and see what I really need to do for the next 3 months.
So I assume with the new job, it is going to bring new changes into my life. Let's hope that the changes is not going to be too big. One thing for sure, I will not be attending my usual 6.30pm gym classes. :(
I think I better end now as I really need to go and sleep and wake up early later as I really dun want to be late on my first day right? Hee...

Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen
Finally the second installment is here. I have to say that the first one blew me away and I do have a lot more expectations for this movie when they are going to add in more Transformers in this movie.
However after watching the movie, to me, it fell below my expectations of the movie. The story is simple to follow (in fact not much of a plot there), with lots of explosions and I loved it when Megan Fox is running at times. Haha.... Again, the machines all look alike and when they appeared at the same time, it is hard to differentiate them.
To me, I think they made this movie because they want to earn more money while everyone is keen in this movie. overall, I give this movie 3 stars for just being an entertaining movie. Till now, I think Starwars is still the best Summer Movie.

I Love You, Man
From the poster, I knew that this is going to be a very funny movie, cos the 2 leads actors are famous for their comedy.
The movie plot is simple, a guy getting married but need to find a best man as he does not have any guys friends and led to a lot of funny situations! As in the same line as other comedies, there are a lot of jokes both funny and lame in the movies. I do like the way they showed how 2 guys can be bonded together! Haha.... I do hope that I will not end up like the male lead in the end. Haha.... I give this movie 3 out of 5 for being so entertaining.

Drag Me To Hell
This movie was a master piece! Before I step into the cinema, I knew that this is going to be a horror show. From the review, I knew that it is going to be a good horror show.
The movie plot was simple, a girl is being cursed by the a witch and tried to get rid of the curse. The leads in the movie are relatively unknown, so that can be a good start as there were no expectations. When I was watching the show, I was kept by the edge of my seat as I do not know what was coming up next or what the director had in place to scare us. I have to admit that I am timid to watch horror films but I do get a kick out of it whenever I am watching it. There are also a lot of funny moments in the show which help to soften the horror impact. It does not help when I am watching it from a large screen! Haha....
Overall, I loved this show. So much so that I am going to give it 4.5 out of 5. Hee...

Monsters Vs Aliens (3D)
Watched this movie in the 3D format. I was expecting quite a lot from this movie especially the same people also came out with Kungfu Panda.
The story line is simple, there were monsters that were found on earth from time to time and they were being kept in a secret location. One fine day, a rock fell to earth from the sky and it hit a gal who is about to get married. Upon in contact with the rock, she turned into a giantic women. Hence she was arrested as well. At the same time, there was an alien attack and they saved the earth by fighting back.
After watching the movie, I was disappointed with the plot. Simple but does not have any good meaning in it. All the characters are also boring, one dimensional, nothing to wow about. The 3D is still as good with things popping out of the screen but the movie is quite a bore for me. Overall, I give this movie 2.5 stars out of 5. I am expecting better cartoons from Dreamworks ok! Hee...

Blood: The Last Vampire
It was a last minute decision to watch a movie and sort of decided to watch this movie all because of the female lead, Gianna Jun. It was a weekday midnight show yet I am quite surprised that the cinema was almost full! So it seems that a lot of people are either really not working or simply dun care. Haha...
Back to the movie, the plot is simple, a good vampire killing all the bad vampires aka bloodsuckers and in the end killed the most "powerful" one of all with a slight twist in the end. The plot was a letdown, sort of making no sense in the middle of the movie. The cast is sort of an international crew, some with good English and some with bad English. I think the female lead did a great job especially her English was quite good. The special effects of this movie is like so 10 years ago. Lots of action in this movie but none was good. The ending was a disappointed one, it just makes no sense as she defeated the most powerful vampire without even a fight. Hmm.... Overall I give this movie 2 stars out of 5. Luckily I watched this on a weekday. Hee...
I still got so many movies to watch! I think it is time for another movie marathon session. Haha... Anyone keen to join me?

Free time!
Recently suddenly had a lot of free time on hand. Most of it was spent on doing nothing much actually. Haha...
Today finally decided to move my lazy ass and head to the swimming pool for 30 laps. I had not been swimming since my last dive trip almost 2 months ago. I am happy to say that I managed to complete my laps around my usual timing.
I was quite surprised to see many people at the pool like as if it was a weekend. Still I managed to complete the 30 laps in peace but the only sad thing was the sun was hiding behind the clouds today. I was quite happy with myself after the swim today.
Hmm... was thinking if I should continue to swim tomorrow as well? Well shall leave it to tomorrow and decide.

Night at the Museum 2: Battle of the Smithsonian
After the impressive first movie, I have to say that I am quite disappointed after watching the second one. It is like recycling everything from the first movie even the jokes. The plot is simple, with a lot of CGI, and a lot of recycled jokes. I think I am getting a bit weary for sequels and hope that Transformers will not be like one. Overall, I give this movie 3 stars out of 5.
Amy Adam as usual was great in this movie and I have to say she looked really like Nichole Kidman in the movie!

Terminator Salvation
Thanks to Starhub, I got 2 free tickets to watch the preview at GV Max (first roll seats some more, luckily I managed to find more decent seats when the movie start). however I am disappointed to see that Starhub make sure only certain people got goodies bags and did not even provide popcorn and drinks. Sigh...
Actually, I am not that keen to watch this movie in the first place. After watching it, I think I am right. the plot is simple, a guy went back to the future to save his dad but Skynet did something better to save themselves. A lot of action, a lot of explosions and a lot of shouting. Not really a lot of acting required in this movie. At some point, I thought it was a trailer for the coming Transformers movies. Overall, I give this movie 2 stars out of 5. Maybe it is time to stop the terminator series.

Good news!
After a day of waiting, I finally got THE call this morning! I got the job! Hee... I am simply thrilled to hear that, even though it does not pay as well as the previous job but still having a job is better than none. On top of that, I like the job scope of the new job! I am glad and relieved that job hunting is finally over!
I am going to start the new job in Jul, so this means I still got another month to chill out and relax, to get ready for the new job. My life is back on track! Hee....

Angels and Demons
After Da Vinci Code, this is another book from Dan Brown that I loved! I remember reading this book a few years ago and I actually finished the book in one seating, as each chapter ends with a cliff hanger and I just refused to stop reading until I complete the whole book!
However, like Da Vinci Code, the director decided to make some changes in the movie plot and I think this caused the downfall of the movie. I went into the cinema with much expectation yet I came out disappointed. I think to the fans of the book, they will be disappointed but to those who had not read the book will find the movie good. Overall, I give this movie 3 stars out of 5. I still think if the director stick to the book, the movie will be more exciting than it is.
I loved to finally see all the status in form and to see the whole Rome. This makes me want to fly to Rome!

Jobless = Freedom?
After working for this company for 1 year and 17 days, I will be jobless from today onwards. This is the first time that I actually will be doing nothing in between jobs. I had a few interviews and a few more coming up, hope that soon I will be able to find a suitable job and move on. Sigh...
Well look on the bright side, I am able to buy over my work laptop at a cheap deal of $1000. I am able to focus on my project meantime as well since I am very free now. Hee...

Star Trek
I am not a Star trek fan and did not really remember of the past Star Trek movies that I have watched before. Therefore I am quite happy that this movie was actually from the start and for those people who have not seen a Star Trek movie before.
After watching the show, I was blown away by this movie. It was fast paced, with nice action scenes and the plot was easy to understand. I walked into the cinema with no expectations of the movie and came out a Star Trek fan! It is that good! Hee... Overall , I will give this movie 4.5 stars out of 5. This is one of the best summer blockbuster movies. Of course, have to keep in mind that Harry Potter and Transformers movies yet to come!
Hmm... I want to get the Enterprise spaceship in LEGO form! Anyone to sponsor?

Taken
This is a movie that I knew I had to watch it but I just did not find the time to watch it. The movie plot was simple, a dad uses his special CIA skills to save his daughter. The movie was fast paced and lots of actions. I cannot believe that Liam Neeson is actually that old, for he is still in a pretty great shape for this movie! Overall, I give this movie 4.5 stars out of 5. Loved this action movie!

X-Men Origins: Wolverine
With this movie, it marks the start of the summer blockbuster. This means tons and tons of blockbusters will be coming and I will have to watch all of them!
There was 3 X-Men movies and this is the first one that actually focus on only one of them. I believe in the near future, there will be more to come. The trailer of the movie looks promising as well. However the reviews for this movie were not that good. Nevertheless, I decided to give this movie a try.
I decided to watch it on a weekday afternoon, where there is no crowd. (Anyway I did not need to work at this point. Haha...) Have to say that the movie started off great, I found myself enjoying every minute of the movie. It is the usual action hero stuff but I never knew the background of Wolverine until this movie. Hugh Jackman is great as well with his kick ass bod! The movie plot is ok, but it seems to leave a trail for another Wolverine movie. Hmm.... Dunno if that is such a good idea. All in all, I will give this movie 3.5 stars out of 5.
A great start for the summer blockbuster season!

Cats: The Musical
Since they announced that CATS will be coming, I bought the tickets once they started selling it, which was 6 months ago. Due to my "job" then, we decided to buy the very last show in Singapore.
Since we have been to a few musicals, we thought that the start time will be at 8pm. However while we were still relaxing at Toastbox, drinking coffee, flipping papers. Suddenly I saw in the papers that the show was going to start at 7pm, I then took out the tickets and realised that the ticket printed 7pm as well. The time on my clock reflected 7pm, immediately we packed up and rushed to the venue, hoping that we will make it in time. Within 5 mins, we reached. Phew! The musical had not started and we manged to get our butts to our seats. The musical started shortly after that. Lucky us. Haha... Having such a drama before the actual drama itself. Haha.
The musical itself was good. The whole decoration of the hall, the stage and even cats were prowling around on and off the show. They are really like cats. Hee... The dancing were superd and of cos the song "Memory" was wonderful! The energy of the performers in the show were top notch as they danced effortlessly for 3 hours during the shows. Luckily we made it in time for the show. Hee...

Sell out!
Decided to watch this movie when I read a few good reviews on it. Did not know that this was a Malaysian movie though.
Have to say at the first half of the movie, I was wondering what the director is trying to say in the movie. I was confused but at the same time was laughing at the sudden songs break out by the actors. To me, it seems like it is trying to be an artistic movie, but the plot a bit far fetched. Still at the end of the movie, I have to say I do not really like the movie but I never expect this kind of movie from a Malaysian director though. It was refreshing though. I will give this movie 3 stars out of 5.

I lost my job.
Tough luck.
Actually knew about the bad news when I was on holiday 2 weeks ago. Everything was confirmed just now that they are closing local office and I was "retrenched".
So that was it, and the news was confirmed. I am preparing for this for the past 2 weeks and happened that it was finally confirmed and I can move forward now.
So any one got any job to recommend? Hee...

Kumar - Stripped bare & Standing Up
Remember I was totally entertained by Kumar show in 2007 that when I saw he got a new show coming up, I just jumped on it and went to buy the tickets for it.
There are only 4 shows and we bought the last show. Thinking the best for the last. I think I have high expectations for the show. It took my by surprise the the show was only 90 mins long and there was not going to have any interval. There was no change of backdrop, only 1 backdrop, no change of costumes, only 1 dress and only 1 Kumar. There was a short dance and a very abrupt end to the whole thing.
Luckily for Kumar, he is so funny that he is able to just talk and talk for the whole of 90 mins and get away with. A lot of racist and political jokes, no thanks to the writers. All in all, I think it was just an ok show and I would not have paid for much for the show. I would have just buy a cheaper ticket.

Watchmen
I did not read or know the existence of this comic before the movie came out. Haha... well I am not much of a comic fan myself. So I have to watch this movie after all the hype.
I have to admit that the movie was very well done, it seems like you are reading the comic itself. The actors inside were doing a great job as well, hmm... less the blue naked man. Hee.... The movie is again talking about a group of people who got no special powers and think that they are a group of super heroes going around helping people. The movie was boring at times but the effects were really good. Overall, I give this movie 3 stars out of 5.

3 gym classes in a row!
Today was the launch of new releases again. Decided to do all 3 classes at Suntec which is Attack, Pump and Combat. I think I over-estimated myself and thought that I can do it. I was so wrong.
First Class: Attack. I had not do Attack for so long and I forgot that it was so much fun to do! However at the end of the class, I was tired already. Hee...
Second Class: Pump. Decided to take less weights and go through the class. Clever idea by myself as I am still doign fine after the class.
Last Class: Combat. First time doing the release and I do not like any of the songs doing the track only once. Hope that they will grow on me. It was quite a simple release but I think I do not have much energy left at the end of it.
I think I need to do more classes to build up my stamina or I am just getting older already. Hee...

Marley & Me
This is a movie about a dog and a family. Even though I had not read the book, I so want to watch this movie as I knew that I am going to relate to this movie. Of cos with Jennifer Aniston inside, just makes it more compelling to watch this movie.
After watching this movie, I was so moved by the movie. It just remind me of my family and Oscar. Thinking about it, our family and Oscar had the same life with the one in the movie. Sometimes, we were so busy with life that we just overlooking Oscar. Sometimes, we did treat him a little bad when he is bad but still after 3 years (coming to), he had became a part of the family, bringing him along whenever we can. I hope that he can stay with us as long as possible. Oscar's birthday coming soon. Think this time will have a mini celebrate for him. Hee...
I loved this movie therefore I am going to give this movie 5 stars out of 5, yes cos I am biased. Hee...

A moment of rush!
Ever since I saw the offer, I was pretty excited about it. I even went down to the NATAS fair on Friday to take a look but leave empty handed.
Since today is the last day, we decided to take the plunge and go for the Club Med one for one offer. This time, we will be joined by my friends as well. it was really cheap and since we are going to use our miles to exchange for air tickets, it is going to be cheaper! Haha....
So come Aug, we will be relaxing in Bali!

Dark Knuts - Welcome to Avenue Quantum
It seems like an annual event to attend this funny play. As usual, this year, they spoofed most of the last year events and movies, of cos with my favourite Avenue Q as the main link.
After watching the show, have to say that they are quite good but still at parts there were some awkward pauses here and there, which broke the flow of the play. They are still funny as well especially with the reference to the Ch 8 big hit "Little Nyonya".
In order to appreciate this show, you need to at least have an idea or have seen the actual show in order to understand what are they trying to spoof.
However, after watching the show for a few years, I am beginning to think if I am going to watch next year show. Hmm....

What a bad day!
Today is really a very bad day for me. Seems like all the bad things will happen.
First thing, it seems that school had messed up my final year project arrangament. Long story and to cut it short. They thought that I am going to extend my project for 6 months and I had not touch my project for the past 6 months. So today, I got to choose from the leftover projects and have to make a choice over the phone with the coordinator within 5 mins. In the end, I selected a project which is similar to my last year project. Hope it will turn out better.
Second thing, I book a diving trip in Sipandan last Nov via a Save Money Diving website. I received a phone call from the resort today and mentioned that the website had closed and they had not paid up for the booking. So in order for us to still have our booking, we would have to pay for it again. The main thing is I had already paid for the package! I even received the confirmation vouchor. To make things worse, it was took late for me to refute the amount with the credit card bank. The last choice is to get the money from the webagent. We will be going to Small Claims Tribunal to sort this out and hope that we can get the money back. Well I have to say it is not a small amount.
This really kinda of ruined the mood for both of us, especially we had been looking forward to this trip. See how this leads to where then.

A crazy way to start 2009!
Instead of counting down with my loved ones and my frens, I have work to do. Sigh... Super sian. So I have to go onboard a ship to do some repairs. While waiting for the ship to arrive, I managed to see some fireworks which was a good thing. It went on well less the fact that the ship was late and had to climb a very long gangway to reach the ship.
When the whole thing was done, and we intend to leave the ship, we could not do so as the ship's both sides have another 2 small ships next to them and our launch (boat) could not come alongside. So in the end, they decided to get us in a cargo net and use a crane to lower us down! Yes! That is what they did and it was at least a 3 floor drop. That was pretty much exciting that I decided just to sit down instead of standing up. Simply scary.
Finally managed to leave the ship and by the time we reach shore, it was about 6am. After a hearty Mac breakfast, went home and sleep for the rest of the new year day. What a day to start 2009!
