End of Jan 07!

End of Jan 07!

Wow times really flies! It seems that we jz did countdown to welcome the new year and now Jan is over. Haa... So I decided that at the end of every month I will do a review or summary of the month.

This mth is the 1st mth of my gym membership and I am happy to say that my weight did drop a bit and intended to go downwards more! I have been going to gym on a regular basis and hope that I would be able to carry on with it. This week I am down with coughing and did not go to gym. Sigh! Hope that I can go 2molo. I am totally into body combat and pump! They are jz great! Thks for LLT being there to accompany and to encourage me as well. Hee... Well I need to swim more often, hope that I can start the program to swim during my lunch time soon. Haa...

This mth also marks the 3rd mth in my current job. Had not been doing any real projects yet. However from yesterday's meeting, it seems that things will start to get heated up pretty soon. Haa... That sounds good. Finally! Saw my new RO, Christina, yesterday. A nice lady and knowledge in the things that she is doing. Hope that I can learn a lot from her as well.

This week I started my school. Jz finished my 1st lecture for both subjects, think that I am in for some pretty hard time! Need to pull my socks alr! Better start reading soon!

I have watched a total of 6 movies, yes I know it is too little due to the fact that I had been going to gym, I like the Queen, Blood Diamonds and Stranger than Friction. Hope that I can watch more movies, really need to relax.

Watch a stand up comedy, Chestnuts series, great! Rain concert! ok la! Have a few more shows coming up as well.

Celebrated my sis's birthday as well! Haa...

Ended this mth with coughing like hell. Think that I am allergic to the medicine that the doctor gave to me, and now I am having rashes over me. Hmm.... Should I see the doc later?

So for next mth going to do the following things:
1. To be healthy.
2. To be active in my work.
3. To be and remain happy.
4. To study more often.
5. To watch more movies.
6. To go to gym on regular basis.
7. To rollerblade. Had not done it for some time.
8. To swim more often. At least 2 times a week during lunch time.
9. To have dinner with family at least once a week.
10. To save more $$. I need $$. Haa....

Haa.... That seems a lot huh. The next few days are going to be interesting for me. Hope that everything will turn out well for me. Start praying and crossing my fingers now! Wish me LUCK!

Happy Birthday to my dearest little sis!

Today is my dearest little sis 21st birthday! Happy Birthday! Wow time really flies fast! Well you are an adult now so better start acting like one ok! So like the present that dad, mum, me and oscar bought for you. Haa... Can see that you are very surprised to see that hanging on ur bedroom door yesterday! Ur eyes jz lit up when you saw what was the present! Haa... Come on you really dun think that we will jz give u one DVD as present rite?

A sick polarbear, that is me, had to go to school today as his classes starting from today onwards! So poor thing! With the start of my classes, I had to miss my gym lessons! I am going to miss my pump and combat classes. Sad! Lectures, tutorials and TMAs coming my way! Before I know it, exams will be coming my way!

Jz realised that I had forgotten that I had signed up some computer lessons on Dreamweaver, Flash and HTML. Hmm.... Seem like my sat is also going to be packed as well. Haa.... Me really STM leh. Haa....

Have to admit that I am old!

Have to admit that I am old!

Over the weekend, other than going to gym, my dear sister celebrated her 21st birthday as well. Haa.... Me and my sis had quite a big age gap, 7 yrs to be exact. A lot of differences but still managed to get along quite well. Haa...

So she invited a lot of her frens to the party but then meeting all her primary school frens make me realise that I am really getting older. Haa... I used to pick up my sis at the bus stop when she come back from school, so I get to know her primary school classmates well also. They all remember me as well. Haa... Had a great time catching up with them.

Well 21st birthday party, the usual things go on and fren got to sabo the birthday gal etc. Haa... For me jz go there hang out, eat the food and help to clean up after that. Everyone was so tired including OSCAR who was bz entertaining all ppl who was there. Well at least everything went well and she received tons of presents which will make her very happy! Haa....

On Sunday, LLT and me are to tired to go gym, so we did not go. Haa... Slackers! I met up with HW earlier to get his phone from NOKIA hospital, 2nd visit for his phone alr. Hmm.... Shocked that there is no crowd at Suntec at all. So where is all the people? Haa.... After that went a few places to do some shopping and we talked abt certain things as well. He actually got me to do something that I can been dragging for sometime alr. Although HW spent a lot of $$ buying a lot of stuff that day but the single item I bought actually cost double of what he had spent for the whole day. Hmm.... So what had I bought? and what it is for? and who is its owner? All shall be known in due time! At the moment it is a secret! Haa...

So now for the next few months, I am going to jz eat grass alr. Sigh... Poor thing rite? Haa...

School starts this week and first lecture 2molo! Looking forward to start school again and hope everything will be fine as well. Haa... So for now all my Tuesdays and Wednesdays are booked for lessons. Going to get busier from this week onwards!

Had been coughing since last Wednesday. Haa... Think I had been shouting too much on Mambo night then. Yesterday night cough until I cannot sleep at all. Later think I am going to see a doc and hope that he can help me contain this cough and not turned into a full blown one! Haa....

Challenge over... ... So did I win it?

Challenge over... ... So did I win it?

Finally the 2 weeks challenge was over at the stroke of midnight. Haa.... So during these 2 weeks I only had 1 meal in Mac (Yesterday not counted as we only go for a drink), 1 Mocha at NYDC, and tons and tons of plain water. Haa....

But it seems like from the less sugar intake, my weight did not go down a bit leh. Hmm..... Nvrmind. I promised you (Stop looking left and right, YES! U!) that I will maintain from now to down my sugar intake ok? Haa... Finally I can drink my coke (maybe a can every week? Can?), so who wanna to be there to see me drink my 1st coke in 2 weeks? Haa....

So did I win the challenge a not huh? Haa..... So where is my reward huh? Haa....

Mambo Night!

Mambo Night!

1 more week to school starts and things start to get really bz. I decided to have a Mambo outing at Zouk yesterday! Since the last time we went was a good 6 mths ago! Haa.... Boy, it was fun and thks to the ppl that turned up! You all were great! Yesterday seems slow to warm up as by 11pm, the place is still not crowded and no one in the dance floor. Hmm..... But still mambo being mambo which seems like everyone there no need to work on Thursday, quickly the place was packed by midnight.

The music was a bit off tonight but then there was still a lot of things to see on and off the dance floor. Tons of eye candies (males and females included). Ordered my fav Apple shot to drink! Way cool! As I am still in the challenge, managed to get away without drinking any soft drinks. Haa... Took tons and tons of pictures, Haa.... Cam whoring starts! Knew someone knew today, Ken, who look very much like one of LLT's fren. Hmm..... with pretty good moves as well. Haa...

Funny thing is someone approached LLT with the idea of making frens. Haa... We were all shocked and speechless. Poor LLT got to ignore the poor but brave soul. Haa... I thought he was her fren jz to step up and say hi to her. Haa.... How come no one approach me one? If you are really it and see a polarbear (big, fat and white) at zouk, pls come up to me and say hi ok? Haa.....

After which, we went to eat chicken rice, by this time I sounded like Ah Du, which means I lost my voice! Haa... Went home, sent LLT to the door (she was in a hurry to send me away when she reach home. Hmm......), slept for 2 hrs and off to work again! Haa... Super man or bear huh!

After a day of work, still can go for a combat class! Haa.... Some workout on my arms... and 20 mins of butt-shaping! Haa... ... Well I got a big butt. Haa.... Tiring but fun! Had fun talking to Maevee as well. Seem like nightmare coming! Going to meet a personal trainer soon!. Hmm....

Very tired going to sleep alr.... ZZZzzz........ So do I have a life now huh? Haa.....

It's OSCARS time!

It's OSCARS time!

Nope! I am not talking about my dog here! I am talking about movies!

It is the major event of the year in Hollywood where everyone would like to win one of those golden statues. The nominations are announced yesterday with some surprises. This year it will be presented on Sunday, February 25, 2007, at the Kodak Theatre at Hollywood & Highland Center.

Being a movie buff, YES! ME! I am going to discuss about my favs (should win) and who going to win the little golden man. Haa.... Hmm..... I have not watched all the nominated movies yet as some of them have not even reached our big screens yet. My predictions might change after watching the other shows. Haa....

Let's start my own predictions:

Performance by an actor in a leading role

Leonardo DiCaprio in “Blood Diamond” (Warner Bros.)

Ryan Gosling in “Half Nelson” (THINKFilm)

Peter O’Toole in “Venus” (Miramax, Filmfour and UK Council)

Will Smith in “The Pursuit of Happyness” (Sony Pictures Releasing)

Forest Whitaker in “The Last King of Scotland” (Fox Searchlight)

Hmm... I have only watched blood diamond, the rest of the show not showing yet. I am going to go with my guts on this. Haa...

Should win: Leonardo DiCaprio as he had produced solid good acting over the past few years and with 2 good movies (The Departed and Blood Diamond) behind him this year. I think he should win this.

Going to win: Forest Whitaker as he had a lot of good reviews and he had won the golden globe award after all. Haa.... I saw the trailer of the movie, from what I can see, he is good!

Performance by an actor in a supporting role

Alan Arkin in “Little Miss Sunshine” (Fox Searchlight)

Jackie Earle Haley in “Little Children” (New Line)

Djimon Hounsou in “Blood Diamond” (Warner Bros.)

Eddie Murphy in “Dreamgirls” (DreamWorks and Paramount)

Mark Wahlberg in “The Departed” (Warner Bros.)

Should Win: Tough choice here as I had not seen little children and dreamgirls yet. For me it is a tie between Alan Arkin and Djimon Hounsou. For Alan, as the grandfather role, he showed that the grandfatherly love toward his grand daughter. For Djimon, his role as the father of the family really took off when he always kept his family in priority and wanted to find his family back together no matter what it will cost him, especially the part that when he saw his son became a rebel and wanted to shoot him. That is classic. If I really have to choice one, I will go for Djimon.

Going to win: Djimon Honsou (one thing against him is not being too famous) even though Eddie Murphy won it the golden globes. Haa....

Performance by an actress in a leading role

Penélope Cruz in “Volver” (Sony Pictures Classics)

Judi Dench in “Notes on a Scandal” (Fox Searchlight)

Helen Mirren in “The Queen” (Miramax, Pathé and Granada)

Meryl Streep in “The Devil Wears Prada” (20th Century Fox)

Kate Winslet in “Little Children” (New Line)

Should win: Meryl Streep as the reason is simple. I simply adore her in that movie and it does not feels like she is acting and really hated her when watching the movie.

Going to win: Helen Mirren for picking up a lot of good reviews and awards including the golden globe. She put up a strong performance and for while I really thought that she was the Queen. Haa...

Performance by an actress in a supporting role

Adriana Barraza in “Babel” (Paramount and Paramount Vantage)

Cate Blanchett in “Notes on a Scandal” (Fox Searchlight)

Abigail Breslin in “Little Miss Sunshine” (Fox Searchlight)

Jennifer Hudson in “Dreamgirls” (DreamWorks and Paramount)

Rinko Kikuchi in “Babel” (Paramount and Paramount Vantage)

Should win: Abigail Breslin. She is a wonderful darling in the show and she deserves to win it based on the pageant show itself. It is priceless.

Best animated feature film of the year

“Cars” (Buena Vista) John Lasseter

“Happy Feet” (Warner Bros.) George Miller

“Monster House” (Sony Pictures Releasing) Gil Kenan

Balance is the topic of the day

Balance is the topic of the day

Balance plays an important role in my life. Everything needs to balance up, jz like yin and yang, the sun and the moon, girlfriend and friends, man and women etc. They all balances up each other. Hee… maybe except for the last one though. Haa….

So y is balance so important to me? Well for me at least, most of the time I am loud, cheerful and happy go lucky kind, but then there are always sometimes (not very often though) I need to have a little peace and quiet to think and reflect on the things going on in my life. This is the time that normally I think I am depressed and would want to hide up in my house and not go anywhere. (Erhh… this does not mean I am depressed now ok!)

I am always the one arguing other people point of view to give them an opposite opinion of things so that they can look from both sides, balancing things up, I hope? I also like to ask people for different views so that I can see if I had missed out anything that I have thought of so that it can balance up my thoughts, even though I have made up my mind. Haa….

Now I am trying very hard to balance the following things:

Diet, Time (To be shared among family (OSCAR included), friends, work and school), Hobbies, etc.

Hmm… Seems like going to be a tough time ahead. Haa…. So pls help me out! Got to decide to have life or no life! Haa....

Y the sudden topic of balance? Cos someone drag me to body balance class yesterday. It was peaceful and quiet but a lot of stretching so very siong as I could not do some of the movements. It was fun. Dun mind doing it once a week or fortnightly? Ok? Haa….

RAIN came by the weekend!

RAIN came by the weekend!

Before I get started on Rain, the weekend was already crazy! Within 3 days, I went through 2 body pump classes and 3 body combat classes, one of which is an extended class! Totally super high and crazy! Haa... Other than that I did nothing else. Haa.... Back to no life!

Sat night spent the evening / night talking to HC and LC. A total of like 3 to 4 hrs right! Haa...
We should have this more often, too bad we can't as someone is flying off soon! We can start recruiting members into our talking club as well! Haa.... Will be organising a dinner soon. Hope that all can turn up!

My cousin managed to get free RAIN's coming concert tickets worth $288! Thks for the free tickets Hazel! Keep them coming ok! Haa.... In case you dunno who is Rain, he is one of the hottest singer / actor that is going to take over the world by storm. Haa... The price of the tickets already set a record with top priced tickets at $888 to the cheapest at $188. Come to think of it, most of the asian singers, their top prices tickets are only at most $168. Haa.... So is the concert worth the price? Hmm.....

To me, not a fan of Rain neither I am interested to see Rain half naked showing of his bod unlike my other cousins!, I enjoyed the concert and would rate it as above average. Starting off with the stage and the amount of LCDs screens they had used, it creates a spectacular scene for every song! The amounts of small fireworks that they had used comparable to a mini National Day parade leh. There are also things like 1001 trapdoors, which he accidentally fell into one at the last concert! Poor thing! But then who asked him to wear sunglasses while performing to look cool leh. Haa.... Travellators so that he can move of one point to another w/o moving his legs. Haa....

His fans! 90% women and to see them going crazy over Rain! Wow! From the moment he appears to the every little movement that he made, even a wink, would have attracted a lot of screams and I really mean a lot of high pitched screams! Haa...

Rain, a guy with good bod and small eyes managed to have a very commanding presence on the stage. Full with confidence, he danced his way throughout the concert! Wow! He was great in his dancing. Hmm… Wished I can do the same as well. Haa… When he talked to the audience, he spoke suing English and I was expecting he would use Korean instead, given the number of Koreans ladies were there at the concert. He does know how to flirt with the audience, and managed to throw a towel soaked with his sweat, flowers into the crazy audience! Erhh.... so anyone wanna my towel soaked with my sweat? Haa.... I got a lot after my gym session leh! Haa…. His singing skills I thought so-so and his voice tend to be drown by the loud music as well. A pity!

There are some funny things to see off stage as well.

A guy sitting next to me (on free tickets as well) was sleeping halfway through the concert! Haa… It was damn loud inside and yet this guy can sleep! Haa…. Come on the concert is not that boring!

When Rain said that he had came to the end of the concert, streams of ppl started to move out while that guy is still on stage (with 2 more songs to go)! Sigh…. Sad to see that! No respect for the artist as well. I know that it is Sunday night and next day have to work but to leave like that… ….

A lot of ppl were using their handphone cameras to take video click of Rain while singing. Well from the seats that I was on, Rain is like an inch tall to me, so when recorded it will become smaller rite? Anyway the quality will not be good as well and it lasted only like 30 sec per clip. Y not jz sit back and enjoy the concert 1st? If you wanna a video click of the concert, jolly well jz go and buy a dvd when it is out. Haa...

Bringing kids to watch the concert. Hmm…. Do the kids know what they are watching in the 1st place? It is not Disney on Ice leh? Y waste the $$ instead?

Well my weekend ended with a Bang! And totally wet with Rain! Haa….

My 100th post!

My 100th post!

Wow time really flies fast! I have been blogging for 5 months already. This blog is great for me to note down my thoughts on certain issues in my life, to express my feelings on my personal issues. It is also the place where people can read up on the latest on going in my life. Hee... As if! Haa...

Together with this post, I am really relieved and happy today to sort something out! Cannot announce it out yet but hope that I can post it here soon! Haa... I had finally ready to move on in my life!

Instead of going to gym today (Haa.... Yes laziness creep in today), went to watch a movie instead. So what movie this time round? Blood Diamond!

Starring Chris Astoyan, Stephen Collins, Jennifer Connelly, Leonardo DiCaprio and Dijimon Hounsou. The movie was set against the backdrop of the chaos and civil war that enveloped 1990s Sierra Leone, Blood Diamond is the story of Danny Archer (Leonardo DiCaprio), a South African mercenary, and Solomon Vandy (Djimon Hounsou), a Mende fisherman. Both men are African, but their histories and their circumstances are as different as any can be—until their fates become joined in a common quest to recover a rare pink diamond that can transform their lives. While in prison for smuggling, Archer learns that Solomon—who was taken from his family and forced to work in the diamond fields—has found and hidden the extraordinary rough stone. With the help of Maddy Bowen (Jennifer Connelly), an American journalist whose idealism is tempered by a deepening connection with Archer, the two men embark on a trek through rebel territory. More than a search for a valuable diamond, the journey could save Solomon's family and give Archer the second chance he thought he would never have.

When I first saw the trailer, I thought that this movie is another action movie, looking for a hidden diamond. But it turn out to be wrong. The movie shows the situation in Africa now and how the innocent citizens are squeezes in between the rebels and the so called goverment. The way that the people are being abused to collect diamonds and how the poor kids are being recurited as part of rebels and being brainwashed.

I can feel for the Solomon when his son refused to acknowledge him! Really sad. Can see and feel the pain and see how such little internal conflicts can caused so much trouble. What worse is the diamonds are being sold for purchase of more machines guns and ammo and it is being "supported" by the jewel companies. Sigh. The jewel companies bought most of the diamonds and keep it inside a huge vault so that they can keep the price of the diamonds high. Hmm.... Wonder if this is true? So ladies , remember when you are buying diamonds you are actually supporting the war on going right now!

In Africa, other than those kids who do not have anything to eat, I also pity those young rebels that are being forced into doing things like holding a gun, killing ppl etc. Sigh. Sad to see that such things still do happen in some parts of the world.

Overall, I give this movie 4 stars out of 5 and I think that Leonardo DiCaprio is much more better in this film than he was in "The Departed". Haa...

I am so tired now but I got so many shows, both movies and TV shows, to watch! American Idol Season 6 starting already. Thks to SMART TV! I can record an show that I wanna to watch. Haa... Great!

Going to Zzz... ... land now!

A very Happy Polarbear!

Polarbear, You have no life leh!

Polarbear, You have no life leh!

Heard this from someone (who in turn heard it from someone else, but since what we are doing now are almost similar) recently. Hmm... So does this mean I really got no life outside or the things that I am doing now is totally boring? Hmm...

So if you have been reading my blog, now my life jz surrounds work, gym, meeting up with frens, watching movies, nothing else, although school is coming really soon! Haa... So now I have been getting out of my house at 7.15am and only to get back home at ard 10 plus 11. Practically more than 12 hours outside my house and even OSCAR dun wanna to play with me any more, maybe he jz thinks that I am a visitor. Haa...

So does that mean I really got no life? Hmm.... On the other hand I got other frens coming to me saying that wow you are always so bz, how to ask you out when you are so bz? Hmm.... So jz what I am supposed to do?

In order to have life , do I need to go out and do different things with different groups of people everyday? That will sure make me bz but then will it make me happy? Hmm... Even then do I have so many different things to do in the 1st place? I doubt so. Haa...

I think now since I am in my LATE twenties! (Yes I am admitting that!) I need to start to let go of some of the old things that I had been doing and add in some new things into my this little boring life of mine. Gym is a new and good hobby to start off with! Haa...

Is going to gym 5 times a week considered no life? I dun think so! Cos I go to the gym is to go for their different classes and I had tried a few, even dance class. So is that boring? I dun think so! I seldom go clubbing or drinking now, so does that make me not happening any more alr? Hmm.... I dun think so! Going to watch movies in cinemas consider boring? I dun think so! Reason being I loved to watch movies! I dun really have a very big group of frens so does that make me boring? Y do I need so many frens in the 1st place, esp those that like to cheat and lie in the 1st place? Neh!

Yet, y am i being so frustrated abt what other people are saying whether I got life or not? Hmm... I dunno also. Hee.... Jz wanna to blah this out and get it out of my mind. After all this is my blog. Haa....

So no one can determine whether you got life a not cos you are the one living your own life. You choose what you wanna to do and eat, when you wanna to sleep and play, how you wanna to do your things etc. Like Nike's tag line: Just Do It!

Usual Weekend doing Usual Stuff

Usual Weekend doing Usual Stuff

Before I touched on my weekend, let me give you all a quick update on the challenge. Hmm... It is the 5 th day of the challenge and I am quite happy to say that I had been disciplined for the past few days. No soft drinks, a meal in mac (that is for dinner ok), only one mocha drink at NYDC. Wow that is a new record for me alr! It is sort of difficult for me cos at home there are always lots of soft drinks lying ard. Hee... Yes a lot! Then I can only see but cannot drink leh, very sad. Usually to perk my self up whenever I am stressed or sad, I will turn to sugared drinks to make me feel better, but then lucky for me I am not stressed or sad for the past few days.

To walk past Coffee Beans, Starbucks and yet unable to walk in and order my fav drink is so torturing as well. Haa.... but I am slowly getting used to it as well. :P

Jz bear with it only 9 more days to go! Haa.... But what the heck? All for healthy living anyway.

This week had been crazy I attended like 5 body combat classes and 2 body pump classes. Crazy man! I like it lo! Esp when all classes are doing the same thing! Deja Vu moment! Haa... This week we also been to new outlets like Great World City and Far East Square. Haa... Also got a new member to join us for gym and she is HC. Haa... The more the merrier, let do it more often ok! It is fun!

Well usual weekend program also includes watching movies. Haa.... Guess what I watch 2 on 2 days! I think I must have contributed a lot to the national average of movie attendance like 3.7, if I did not remember wrongly. Haa....

HW, thks for jz checking with me if I am free. Haa.... The thing is I am always free for you! Anyway U can only meet at those graveyard hours anyway. Haa.... But I am not complaining! So 3rd Chinese movie with him and this time we watch "Kung Fu Mahjong 3: The Final Duel"

The movie is abt this guy (Ken) who is the son of a Mahjong King needs to win 16 rounds of mahjong before he can take over his father's business. Haa... However he met up with a girl of misfortune, whoever go out with this gal, will either land up bankrupt or lands himself in a accident. So immediately Ken's luck ran out and learnt some ways to overcome his misfortune and get it back. Haa...

For those who play mahjong will enjoy the show better, however for ppl like me who do not play mahjong does get lost at times, esp in the show he always got the most lousy tiles but I know it is lousy leh? Haa... Well the show does have something good out of it, is to always look on the positive side of the everything. If you do, and with perseverance, things will slowly look up upon you. Overall I will give this movie 2.5 stars out of 5.

The next movie is a movie I wanna to watch after reading glowing reviews abt it. It is a spanish movie called "Pan's Labyrinth".

The movie sets in Spain 1944. The civil war has been over for 5 years. Carmen, recently remarried, settles down with her daughter Ofélia in the home of her new husband, the highly domineering Vidal, captain in the pro-Franco army. While the little girl struggles to get used to her new life, she discovers nearby the great family house a mysterious labyrinth. Pan, its faithful guardian, a strange magical and demonic creature, will reveal to her that she is none other than the princess who long ago disappeared from an enchanted realm. To discover the truth, Ofélia will have to face three dangerous trials that nothing on earth has prepared her for...

Overall, there are 2 different stories going on. One is the civil war and one is the little girl doing all the tasks to be the princess. The effects in the movie was good and like the flow of the story. However I was wondering why everyone is saying that this movie will win the Oscar Best Foreign Language Movie? Hmm.... Well overall, I give this movie 3 stars out of 5. Hee...

So you can see the weekend is considered a normal weekend for me! Haa... Boring huh! Need some excitement in my life! Come on!

The Challenge!

The Challenge!

A challenge was issued to Polarbear a few days ago and it starts today! Haa... So what is the challenge all about? Haa.....

The challenge is to stop eating of junk food and no drinking of soft drinks for 2 WHOLE WEEKS! Crazy right? Hmm... A tough one right? Haa..... So no junk food means no fast food, no snacks, no popcorn while watching movies (Steamed corn can rite?), and a lot more food. Well no soft drinks means say goodbye to Coke (Sob! Sob!), and all other soft drinks (Ice lemon Tea included), ice milo, no starbucks, no coffee bean. Sad huh for me lah of cos. Haa...

So Polarbear had to go through all these torture for what reward? Hmm the reward is a SINGLET from NUM. Haa... Why do I want it in the 1st place huh? I wonder? What if I lose the challenge leh? Hmm.... Well I will treat you 5 movies ok? Haa...

Thks for the Vincent Ng "Ten" book. Will try to post the cover of the book here soon. The book is interesting as it gives you tips on hoe to lose weight and shape within 10 weeks. Haa... I dun think I can complete reading within 10 weeks but will try to follow most of the things in the book from exercises to what food to eat for each meal. Haa... There is a pic of him eating burger leh, so does this mean fast food is ok to eat as well? Haa....

Someone died from sudden cardiac incident again this week and he is the 7th one to die of the same reason within the last 3 mths. Hmm.... One moment he is talking to his students, the next he is on the floor alr. My condolences to his family. So this proves again that no one knows when your time will be up. Make sure every moment is spent like there is no 2molo, and spend more time with family and frens.

Hmm.... so does this means that I better drink my coke before I got no more chance to drink it? Haa....

Self confession of a Combat and Movie Freak!

Self confession of a Combat and Movie Freak!

Ever since Polarbear signed up the gym membership, Polarbear got a new hobby which is going to gym. Haa... I totally like Body Combat where it is a good what to train up my stamina and relief my stress at the same time. Haa.... Other than Combat, also attended Pump, Attack, Step Hi Lo (which is a killer) and Street Jazz (relaxing and learn to groove at the same time). It is getting fun and I need to build up some basic program for me to build up some muscles then. Hmm... However, I still need some time to train before I can attend 2 classes back to back. Haa... Nearly died with Pump and Attack back to back on Friday. Someone mentioned that she will buy me a book on that and a singlet. Haa... So when I am getting it?

If you had not notice in my blog, I am a movie freak as well. I will try to at least catch a movie a week. Haa... So for the weekend I caught two movies with frens.

The first movie is "Confession of Pain", a Hong Kong made movie. The main cast are Tony Leung Chiu-wai, Takeshi Kaneshiro, Shu Qi, Chapman To. Wow got Tony Leung, to me, he is the best actor of all times, even better than most of the Hollywood actors. He got the most mesmerising eyes which can tells a lot of stories. The story is about how a guy planned his revenge and how a private detective actually found out about the truth. The story line is somehow similar to Internal Affairs, well same directors ad scriptwriters. Haa... I find that the story telling for this movie is better. I will give this movie 3.5 stars out of 5. Go and watch it!

The next movie is "Stranger than Friction" starred by Will Ferrell, Emma Thompson, Maggie Gyllenhaal, Dustin Hoffman, Queen Latifah, Linda Hunt.

Interesting story plot. It is about a guy, Harold Cricks, kept hearing a voice that was narrating his life story and he was irritated by it. However he was shocked to hear from the voice that "Little did he know, he is going to have an imminent death." He panicked from that moment onwards and try to find out who is the one that did the narration. Others think that he is going crazy.

Meantime, The Narrator, Kay Eiffel (Emma Thompson), a nearly forgotten author of tragic novels, is struggling to complete her latest and best book, unaware that her protagonist is alive and uncontrollably guided by her words. Fiction and reality collide when the bewildered and hilariously resistant.

Desperate to escape his fate, Harold seeks help from eccentric English professor Dr. Jules Hilbert (Dustin Hoffman) and finds unexpected comfort in a burgeoning romance with defiant audit subject, Anne Pascal (Maggie Gyllenhaal). Unluckily for Harold, Kay's impatient publishers have unleashed a stern assistant named Penny Escher (Queen Latifah) to help the author finish her book and finish off Harold Crick. So was he killed off? Go and watch the show. Haa.... I give the movie 3.5 stars out of 5. Could be 4 stars but a bit draggy in some parts. Haa...

Wonder if there is anyone writing my life story now? If there is one, can you pls make sure my life is meaningful ok! I also wanna it packed and to be interesting. Of cos if you want to introduce a female lead in my life now, PLS DO SO! Haa... However I believe I am the writer of my own life, so wake up my bloody idea now and start writing my own story!

During the weekend, finally met up with HW again! It is always great to meet up with him even though I could have killed him when we met up. Haa... Out of my frens, as if I got a lot,I would only ask and listen to advice from a few frens mainly HW, Dan and SK. Haa... Even though sometimes they might not agree with my thinking but I do need ppl to tell me things from the other side of the fence as well to help me out in the logic thinking. Haa...

Got a problem recently, dunno how to deal with it and to me I dun wish to deal with it as I am tired from it alr. Haa... Hope that I can solve the problem soon and move on from it. Sigh. Headache leh.

Well school is going to start soon. I got to get myself ready for it and hope to get good results again. Haa... Jia You!

First Movie for 2007: The Queen.

First Movie for 2007: The Queen.

Again, it is a free movie. Haa.... This time round it came with free pillows. Haa... The movie is an interesting movie. It actually shows from the Queen's point of view on the incident of the death of Princess Diana. It also shows that the royal family is also humans, and got feelings as well. This movies uses actual scenes from the past and adds to the new scenes. Great acting from the lead actress, she had been nominated for a lot of acting awards, think that she will have one from the Oscars as well. Haa...

Work got off to another slow start in the new year. Hmm... Maybe the ppl here really forget abt me alr. Haa.... So what should I do? Should I send him an email to remind him of my existence here? Haa....

Happy New Year! Welcome to 2007!

Happy New Year! Welcome to 2007!

First day in 2007! First post in 2007! Haa....

Countdown down to all new year is always fun! Too bad this year I did not managed to do it with my best frens. I was at Loof to welcome 2007 with my frens and some of LLT frens. Loof is a rooftop bar, great place to see the high fireworks without squeezing with the ppl at the river side. Hee..... So at the stroke of midnight, we got a great view of the fireworks. Phew! If not I will be killed by other ppl on the stroke of midnight. Haa....

Thks to the following ppl that joined me for the countdown: LLT and her frens, HL, JJ and fren, Irene, Cannie, HC, LC, Aldric and fren. Hope that I did not missed out anyone. Hee.... It is a great time spent with games like Truth or Dare (Hmm... Seem like my lesson not learnt yet rite? Haa...) It went crazy and a lot of fun and gossips being dug up. Haa.... Wonder if what LLT's answer was true? Haa.... Hope that this year we got more chances to do something like this ok! Hee....

Next we broke off into 2 grps and our grp went to Bugis Mac for more gossips as cabs are not available as well. Haa... It was jz plain fun! More sessions coming up ok! Haa.... The first food that I had in 2007 was MacNuggets! Though 3 pcs only. Great! Haa...

After which, the first day of the new year was spent slacking at home. Haa...

So to all those who is reading my blog: Happy New Year and have a great year ahead!
