Away from her...... A touching movie

The movie is about how a couple struggle when one of them got "Alzheimer’s disease". Married for almost 50 years, Grant and Fiona's commitment to each other appears unwavering. Their daily life is filled with tenderness and humor; yet this serenity is broken by Fiona's increasingly evident memory loss and her restrained references to a past betrayal. For a while, the couple is able to causally dismiss these unwelcome changes. But when neither Fiona nor her husband can deny any longer that she is being consumed by Alzheimer's disease, the couple is forced to wrenchingly redefine the limits of their love and loyalty and face the complex, inevitable transition from lovers to strangers.

This story really touches my heart. It got me thinking if I am Grant, would I do that same and send Fiona to a nursing home. Hmm.... At the moment, I dun think so. In the movie, I think Grant would not do it also but it was Fiona that wanna to go. Once at the nursing home, no visitors are allowed in order to let the patient settle down. However when Grant went back after 30 days, Fiona could not recognize him any more and Grant is determined to help her get back her memory. It does not help when Fiona grew attached to one of the patients. There was a few scenes that really moved me.

1. The visit that Grant went to the nursing home and before he event step in he already decided not to send Fiona in.

2. When Grant drove Fiona to the nursing home and just before they stepped of the car, Grant ask Fiona not to go.

3. The first visit to the nursing house when Fiona could not recognise Grant. That is so heartbreaking.

4. All the things that Grant do to help Fiona get her memory back.

5. All the things that Grant did to help Fiona get better when she fall sick.

6. The last scene where Fiona suddenly got her memory back.

Such a heartwarming and touching movie. The lead actress got nominated for Best Actress in Oscars and deserved it! Overall, I gave this movie 4.5 stars out of 5.

The show was very popular and was a full house. It happens that we bought the last 2 seats that are together and an old couple bought two single seats (seated at opposite end) that are left. What is heartwarming is, after the show, the old man actually walked to the old lady and offered his hand, and they walked out hand in hand. That is so sweet!

And the Oscar goes to... ...

Today is the Oscars! I am always interested to know who had won what. Lucky the strike is over before the award date, if not, it is really going to be a very boring show. So who is the big winner for this year? No Country for Old Men.

BEST Picture - No Country for Old Men
Well out of the 5 nominated one, I have yet to watch No country for old men and there will be blood. However I think Juno should have won it.

BEST DIRECTOR - Joel & Ethan Coen - No Country for Old Men
They won almost any award there is this year. So they should win it.

BEST ACTOR - Daniel Day-Lewis - There Will Be Blood
He too won almost all Best Actor award.

ORIGINAL SCREENPLAY - Juno
Yeah!

ACHIEVEMENT IN MUSIC (ORIGINAL SCORE) - Atonement

ACHIEVEMENT IN CINEMATOGRAPHY - There Will Be Blood

ACHIEVEMENT IN MUSIC (ORIGINAL SONG) - "Falling Slowly" - Once

ACHIEVEMENT IN FILM EDITING - THE BOURNE ULTIMATUM

BEST ACTRESS - Marion Cotillard - La Vie en Rose
I wished Ellen Page won it instead. Heard that Marion is really good. Going to catch the movie this weekend.

ACHIEVEMENT IN SOUND MIXING - THE BOURNE ULTIMATUM

ACHIEVEMENT IN SOUND EDITING - THE BOURNE ULTIMATUM

ADAPTED SCREENPLAY - No Country for Old Men

BEST SUPPORTING ACTRESS - Tilda Swinton - Michael Clayton
She is good in the movie. But the best out of the 5? Hmm....

Best Short Film, Animated - Peter & the Wolf

BEST SUPPORTING ACTOR - Javier Bardem - No Country for Old Men
He won all the Best Supporting Actor award. Enough said.

ACHIEVEMENT IN ART DIRECTION - Sweeney Todd

ACHIEVEMENT IN VISUAL EFFECTS - The Golden Compass
Erhh.... Y not Transformers?

ACHIEVEMENT IN MAKEUP - La Vie en Rose

BEST ANIMATED FEATURE FILM - Ratatouille
Deserved it. In fact should be Best Picture instead.

ACHIEVEMENT IN COSTUME DESIGN - Elizabeth: The Golden Age

So that are all the winners. Congrats to all. I m going to catch La Vie en Rose and No Country for Old man this weekend. Hope that I can catch There will be Blood before they took it off the screens.

Now you know y my dog is name Oscar? Wahahaha

Singapore Airshow 2008

Back from the Singapore Airshow and got to say that I am truly disappointed with it. Sigh.... Sad to say that I still prefer Asian Aerospace 2 years ago. Continue reading to understand why I am so disappointed.

Reached Pasir ris @ 9.30am to see a long queue for the shuttle bus. How long is the queue? Well jz say it is long enough to queue from Pasir ris to Tampines. That long! Yet the buses that were zooming pass us were not even packed, the seats were all taken but then there is still a lot of standing room!

So seeing the queue that we decided to take a cab down instead. It was a good decision and money well spent as I think if we waited for the shuttle bus we would have totally missed the aerial display which is the only highlight of the day! Along the way, saw a long stretch of empty buses. Wonder what are they waiting for when there is a long queue at Pasir ris? Hmm....

Reached the super ulu Changi Exhibition Centre. Have a smooth entry and security check. Wow the place is super big and EMPTY! Plus the sun is out in full force and there is no shelter. Since we reached there like 11am, decided to break up and walked around. Saw a few Singapore Army big guns and vehicles, then Singapore Air Force planes and helicopter, U.S. Air Force planes as well. Well I dun care about the rest. To me, the thing I wanna to see is Airbus A380! Got to see it up close but cannot go in and visit. You can only go in and visit A380 when you are the president and MP. So call all the big shots. Sigh..... Sian! A380 is the only reason I am there, so close yet so far.

Time for the aerial show! The black knights did not disappoint us with exciting stunts but then whatever planes that appeared after that kept doing the same thing that we got bored! Then A380 appeared, a giant elephant on the ground but a graceful swan in the air. Spent 2 hours in the hottest sun! It is the ONLY thing worth for the Airshow.

The exhibition hall is the one with air con, so most of the crowd would spend more time inside than outside. Inside is basically trade display but there is not much of variety there. Then funny thing is people are in there to collect freebies anything from posters, bags to lanyard and pens. OMG! It is really funny when I walked past one booth to see people queueing up for recycled plastic bag! OMG! Cheapos! What is the use of collect so many things when reached home most likely these things will be thrown away as well

There were a lot of drinks stall inside but they are also selling drinks at rocket high prices! One bottle of no brand mineral water was selling at $2 each. Crazy! SO can u imagine the prices for other drinks and food? Hmm......

Then we decided to head home but nearly fainted again when we saw the queue for the shuttle bus again. It is a long enough as it snaked from the outside of the exhibition hall to the inside of the exhibition area. Decided to pay $5 for a shuttle bus out to City Hall and within 15 mins we are in the bus. However there are a lot of queues to different places yet there are not barricades and signage to guide people to the correct queue. Every one is confused but lucky for us, we got in the right queue and quickly got onto the bus. It is was a $5 well spent!

Overall, the airshow is not worth the money or the time! It was so DISAPPOINTING. So much hyper then there is nothing much to offer! There is nothing much to see and it looks like army or air force open house (which are free of charge by the way!). The logistic for the show is also very messy with no defined queues or signage. The events company really sucks big time! No more next time for me.

So total amount spent is $15 for the ticket, $4 for the cab, $5 for the bus ride and $10 on the drinks, addes up to a grand total of $34. OMG!

Next time I will go and have a picnic at Changi Point while watching the air show for free then!

The only happy thing that came out of it is I got a very nice and even tan. Wahahaha!

Visit to Mint Museum of Toys!

Today had an interesting day and went back to the old days as we made a visit to the Mint Museum of Toys. It is a SAFRA organised event, since I have never been to this place before, so decided to join in the fun.

So what does MINT means? MINT = Memories of Imaginative & Nostalgic Toys. It is open by an engineer who own a lot of toys (think near 500,000 if I am not wrong) that are kept somewhere in a warehouse , therefore at any one time only a portion of the toys are displayed in the museum. They are changed every 6 months. So it is actually good to go there every 6 months.

This event consist of a buffet dinner with some pretty good food and desserts as well. After which, we had a guided tour of the place. The guide is very knowledgeable of the toys and it is great for him to explain to us all the history of the toys. There are also a lot of old movie posters as well. Think all the toys and poster actually worth a lot of money in the first place.

The building itself is very interesting as well as the 4th and 5th floor are actually suspended from the roof and all the lightnings are hidden in the shelf, and this actually protects the toys as well.

By end of the event, had a small lucky draw where both of us won something. Wahahaha.. Pretty lucky huh? Hee..... Totally enjoyed myself in the tour.

Hmm..... so when are we going back again?

My only regret is I should not have thrown away my old toys.

Juno: One of the Top 5 movies in 2008

This movie is about a teenage girl, Juno, got pregnant by Bleeker. Went off to find a set of "prefect" parents (Mark and Vanessa) to adopt the baby. With parents full support behind her, Juno faces some tough relationship problems, adulthood and to find a place where she belongs.

To me, this is the BEST PICUTRE of the year! I simply loved it! With a simple plot, witty lines and great yet believable acting by the main cast, it is hard not to fall in love with this movie! I felt like I was Juno best friend watching the movie, sharing her pain and joy. Her story can be related by anyone as it can happen to both you and me and that makes it believable. Three scenes left deep impression on me.

1. The one where Juno confronted Bleeker when he asked someone out to the prom.

2. The one when the baby is born, and when Vanessa first saw the baby in hospital.

3. The last scene when she and Bleeker sings. Simply touching. Sweet sweet love.

No wonder it was nominated for Best Picture in the upcoming Oscars. Ellen Page, an up and coming actress, nomination as Best Actress. Her acting was freaking good and she is only 20, when she shot that movie. Jennifer Garner was good as Vanessa, can feel that she really wants a baby so much even though her marriage was in rocks.

Overall, I give this movie 5 stars out of 5. Go and catch it! A simple sweet teenager story.

Tired!

These few days have been feeling a bit under the weather, tired and a bit moody at the same time. Had not been able to sleep well as well. Sigh...

Might be due to fatigue, stress or some other silly things.

Even just now during gym also felt very tired and could not even do the normal weights that I normally do.

Hmm... What is happening to me?

Hope that I can control my mood better these few days!

The odd one had spoken!

Disclaimer: If you think you are the odd one, pls do not procced to read. Read at your own risk!

Reminder: This is my personal blog. So that I can write anything I like here! :P

Am I a difficult person to deal with or other people are the difficult ones?

Other people can have their moody days but I am not allowed to have one?

Must I be always the one to start a conversation with other people?

Someone (A princess wannabe but never one and will never be one, now who shall be known as the B****) recently kept creating trouble for LLT, by saying why her bf aka me, ignored her and her bf?

This B**** now turned the table and said that I was at wrong and all the silly stuff that she can ever imagined. So whatever she does is right and whatever other people does is wrong! So she thinks who I am? A clown that always need to keep people entertained huh? Pls lo, she can always ask her BF to entertain her instead lo! If not, if you pay me, I might consider about entertaining you in the first place!

Cannot believe that she brought her BF along so that she can showcase him in front of us and then expect us to entertain you and your BF. Pls lo! Your BF not a mute lo, can sing but cannot talk to us meh? How come I know she bring her BF dor showcase cos she sort of mentioned felt neglected with or without BF during the last session? I pity the BF lo! I think he need to go and check his eyesight in the first place.

Then she lagi good, go and complain. #*()%&)!&#%)

Somehow after discussion, we were wondering if she need me to endorse her BF... or even worse she is in love with me... Wahahaha. I think I am too good for b****** anyway.

Oh yes, I got a little confession to make. If you (YES YOU B****) have noticed, I truly had ignored you since long time ago! Even recently, I decided to treat you as invisible as people that I dun like dun even exist in my world at all! To me you are as good as dead! If you happen to be reading this, TAKE THAT YOU B****!

Oh yes one more thing! You are being BARRED from our wedding. Wahahaha!

A Slack Weekend!

This weekend super slack, but then I am still very tired!

First I got a workshop in school. Since it happened to end early, so I rushed down to my gym for combat. After which, bitten by a lazy bug and decided not to attend the afternoon session. So decided to watch movie. Kite Runner is the choice!

The movie is based on Khaled Hosseini's best-selling novel about Amir, a well-to-do Pashtun boy from Afghanistan, who is still haunted by the guilt of betraying his childhood friend Hassan, son of a family servant. Having lived in California for a number of years, Amir returns home to Afghanistan to help Hassan, when his son gets into trouble.

It is a very touching story, some reviews did say the book is better so I am thinking about reading the book. I was touched by the movie especially the two kids acting. I like the way they shot the kite fighting scenes as well. Overall, I give this movie 4 star out of 5.

After which, we went for a buffet dinner as they were having a one-for-one promotion. However the catch is one table is only allowed one free customer, so it turn out most of the customers come in pairs. It does look like a speed dating event. Wahahaha..... For the price that I am paying cannot complain, the food is quite decent as well, variety is a lot. Hee.... To imagine that this place is packed every weekend and I need to make reservation 2 weeks in advance. Look out for my review in Yebber.

After a very full dinner, we went for a walk before we went for "FiRST / 80th Academy Awards Oscar Movie Marathon". Wahaha.... 3 movies back to back! Starting from 11pm to 6am.

The first movie: "Elizabeth: The Golden Age". For this movie, Cate Blanchett was nominated for Best Actress. Well since it is her second time acting Queen Elizabeth, she was very comfortable in that role. She had very strong presence in that movie and was really very good. The costumes and the sets were very well designed as well. The movie was boring and the always showing the Queen in an angry mood. Overall, I give this movie 3 stars of out 5.

The second movie is: "Atonement". This is the second time I am watching it and it is still to me one of the best movies as well. Nominated for "Best Picture" and many more. Can look at my previous review for this movie.

The third and final movie: "Charlie Wilson’s War". This movie was nominated for Best Supporting Actor for Phillip Seymour Hoffman. "Charlie Wilson's War" is the true story of how a playboy congressman, a renegade CIA agent and a beautiful Houston socialite joined forces to lead the largest and most successful covert operation in history. Their efforts contributed to the fall of the Soviet Union and the end of the Cold War, with consequences that reverberate throughout the world today. I tried my best to stay awake for this movie, but still missed out some certain parts. This is sort of a political comedy movie. With a strong cast, they managed to put on a very show for this movie. Overall, I give this movie 3.5 stars out of 5.

Thks god there was free flow of pop corn and drink throughout the screening. Wahahaha... By the end of it I was freaking tired. I think I broke my record of watching 4 movies in a day! Wahahaha... Totally crazy!

After a crazy Saturday, Sunday was spent sleeping the whole day and meeting friends for dinner only.

Me so tired now... Think I need more sleep now.

CJ7.... Results of the CNY movies!

Today managed to have dinner with one of my best fren, Danny, well the order on sick and could not make it, the last one well jz cannot make it. Sigh.... It is more difficult to meet up with friends nowadays.

After which we decided watched CJ7, actually booked the tickets in advanced. Hee...

The movie is about a comedy about a poor laborer father (Stephen Chow) and his young son. When a fascinating and strange new pet enters their lives, they learn a poignant lesson about the true nature of family and the things money can't buy.

The alien dog is so cute! I also want one! Hee.... This is actually quite a short movie and the CGI was really good. The plot does not really make any sense and the movie does not explain a lot of questions. Again in his movie, the pretty girl is jz a pretty vase. Still it is a pretty good movie. Overall I give this movie 4 star out of 5.

Out of the 3 CNY movies, my ranking are:
1. CJ7
2. Ah Long Pte Ltd
3. KungFu Dunk

So which one is your favourite?

Valentine Day

Today is Valentine Day, so Happy Valentine's Day to all.

I took half day leave today, not to celebrate V Day but to attend Qing and CY's ROM. Congrats Mr and Mrs Chua! Since their ceremony is at 3pm, I still managed to attend a pump class during lunch time. Hmm... Working out during lunch time feels a bit weird though. The class is quit packed. So surprised to see so many people there!

I have attended a lot of ROM ceremonies but it was my first time attending at registry itself. The place is quite professional but somehow I think it lack of a human touch. Everything went on very smoothly, less the JP did screwed up some parts.

After which, the usual photo taking and LLT is forced to take the bouquet of flowers when thrown. Wahahaha.... I dunno what that means anyway. Then we moved off for a Hi Tea buffet at Royal Plaza Hotel. Seem like a lot of people also took leave to celebrate V day.

I did not planned anything special on that day as I believed that V day had been commercialized with everything from flowers, toys to set meals all prices had increased to sky high prices. Lucky me, I won a pair of movie tickets for Persepolis.

It is the poignant story of a young girl coming-of-age in Iran during the Islamic Revolution. It is through the eyes of precocious and outspoken nine year old Marjane that we see a people's hopes dashed as fundamentalists take power - forcing the veil on women and imprisoning thousands. Clever and fearless, she outsmarts the “social guardians” and discovers punk, ABBA and Iron Maiden. Yet when her uncle is senselessly executed and as bombs fall around Tehran in the Iran/Iraq war, the daily fear that permeates life in Iran is palpable.

The cartoon is one of the Oscare nominated animation this year. The story is good enough, however as an animation, it needs more to fight against those PIXAR ones. They should have used the story and shoot a real life movie out of it. Overall I gave this movie 3.5 star out of 5.

That pretty much wraps up V Day for me.

However something did bother me the whole day. Everywhere, can see couples carrying flowers but how come most of it is being carried by guys. Since the flowers are gifts from guys to gals, then how come the poor guys still have to carry the flowers for them? Hmm.... So since the gals dun like to carry the flowers then why bother to give them flowers, they are not appreciative of it anyway. Gals, a reminder, they are your boyfriends and not your slaves, stop asking them to carrying your handbags and flowers when yourselves carrying nothing at all. Pity all the male slaves out there! Can't blame the guys as well, as I know most of them did it willingly anyway. Sigh....

Ren Ri! Happy Birthday to all!

Today is Ren Ri, which means is everyone's birthday! Happy Birthday to all!

During lunch, a few colleagues and I decided to go for a CNY lunch at a nearby coffeeshop, surprisingly the food was quite good and we got to lou hei (yu sheng) for good luck! It is also having a lot of fun having lunch with a big group of people. SO what we did ask for? Other then the normal win 4D or TOTO, we laos wished for promotion etc. Wahahaha.... In the end we shared a pool of money for 4D on 1488.

*Update: 1488 did not come out.*

At night, we had a family gathering at home where my mum had cooked tons and tons of good food! Of cos we have yu sheng as well. Did I mentioned that I simply loved yu sheng and could have them everyday! Wahahaha.... My aunt, cousin and Athens were invited as well. Hee....

After a good dinner, we have a game of blackjack. Yes, I know I had lost 3 days in a row, but I decided to play just for fun. At first my luck was not that good, however all turns around when I became the dealer. Jz after 4 rounds, I won around $60! Wahahaha..... I had recovered all my losses! I think my luck had came back to me! It was a lot of fun when you start to win money!

Happy CNY to all again!

What is MAN?

Decided to watch this show when I was browsing through and this show does looks interesting. Have some doubt at first as it is my first time watching a Chinese Play. This is also one of the longest play I ever been to, 3 hrs long and it turn out to be interesting and I totally enjoyed the play.

The play is based on The Water Margin, a famous Chinese novel. It tries to attempt to capture the original spirit of the novel. It shows the masculinity and violence in today context.

There 28 scenes in total all in modern form. In some scenes, especially those single acts, are really good and funny. There is one scene that makes use of shadows is also very good and very funny as well. This play also shows the MCP of male as well and the weakness of female.

Overall, it is really very good. I am looking forward to his another play.

After the play, all the actors and actresses together with the director, held a mini question and answer session. During this session, it did clear some doubts that I had in the play as well. It was really an eye opener.

So when is the next play coming? Hee...

3rd and 4th day of CNY! House Visits!

The 2 days prove to be more fun!

Since for the past 2 days had been doing nothing and eating, so Sat is back to the gym day! Wahahaha.... Time to burn off all the fats that I had accumulated. After a few days of not exercising, it does makes everything more tiring.

After which, we headed to Pearlina's house for a New Year visit cum dinner. Wahaha... It was a lot of fun and had a good teriyaki dinner as well, all prepared by Jason. Wow! I am impressed! Hee... We played from PS3 games to blackjack, and the only thing that I can say is ... ... I really need more luck! Where are you my lucky stars? Sob! Sob!.... Time is up and we got move along as we had a movie to catch! Another of the CNY movie by Jack Neo, "Ah Long Pte Ltd"! "Ah la la long, Ah la la long... ..."

This movie is 11th movie for Jack Neo. This movie is about a black triad or gang big boss handed over his command to his 2nd-in-commander. When she tried to change the way how Ah Long (money lenders) work, he tried to take back his position again. Of cos there is a side story of how the lady big boss tries to get herself a husband.

Erhh.... Casting Mark Lee as the sissy Jojo Fang is the prefect choice and he provided 90% of the humor in this movie, but then Fann Wong as the gangster... Hmm.... I dunno, I will sit on the fence for this. There are some funny moments and jokes but most of it fall pretty flat. I think the movie is trying to squeeze in too many things making the plot a bit thin and sometimes not focus. Not saying the Jack Neo lost his touch but something is missing this time round and I really cannot connect with the movie this time unlike this other movies like Homerun or I not Stupid. I also think the movie is too long already, till it gets too draggy in the middle of the show. Overall, I give this movie 2.5 star out of 5. Local movie must support ok!

Sunday is the long awaited Yebbers outing. Hee... This time held at Claudia's house and got to meet a few new poeple like LIC aka Brad and met up with the usual suspects as well. After some pizzas (Thks Claudia), we started out little game of Blackjack (Yes! My 3rd time), and have to say... sigh.... I win some but I lost more! So I decided I am not going to take part in any more games from then onwards. Wahahaha... Donated some money to FZ's dinner. Haha...

After that, rushed to Marina Sq to meet up with LLT's friends for K Box buffet. Well, I was prepared to eat and not to sing, the food was lousy, the system got limited songs, the company was good less one odd couple. Haha... Dun say too much in case they are reading my blog as well.

The weekend was rushed and tiring and got to start work 2molo also. There goes my 5 days of holidays!

First 2 days of CNY, The Year of Rat!

CNY came and passed quickly. This year is like other years as well. Boring.

The first day managed to wake up quite early even though I slept late due to watching boring movies on TV and to "shou sui" as well. Got my 1st red packet from my mum as always. Hee....

After which, as usual going to my grandma's house where all my dad's side relatives will be there as well. Before we left the house, Oscar was whining so loudly, that in the end my dad decided to bring him along. Hee.. Actually me and my sis were very happy that Oscar is coming along with us.

So reached there, saw all my relatives, did the usual chit chat. Glad to see my grandma again, getting older every year, but glad that she is still healthy. So collected all my red packets, got one extra one from my younger niece. So embarrassed to get from her.

After that, we decided to move off as I intend to go gym but then my dad decided to make a trip home first to drop Oscar home 1st, this means I will be late for the class, so decided to stay at home to rot. Rotted at home for the rest of the day. Wahahaha....

On the 2nd day, slacked a bit at home before moving off to LLT's house for a visit, after which, was thinking to watch a movie but then GV website was experiencing high traffic. Seem like everyone got nothing to do and also intending to watch movies as well. Next stop my home, where we finally managed to book tickets for the show that I want to watch.

The Diving Bell and The Butterfly

This movie is based on a French memoir by Jean-Dominique Bauby who describes his life after suffering a massive stroke at the age of 42 that left him with a condition called locked-in syndrome, leaving his only means of communication as blinking his left eyelid. With some help, he managed to complete the book. The method was for a person to read out a series of alphabets and he blink at the one that he wanted. One blink for yes and two blinks for no. It was a tedious process.

The first half of the movie was shot as what he could see and what he is thinking after he awoke from his coma from the first person view. The second half was mostly on his flashback until the moment he got his stroke while writing his book. The plot itself is very simple but then it does brought out some touching moments especially on the things that he regretted doing and regretted not doing while he still can do it. I am very amazed by his perseverance and determination to finish writing the book. At the same time, it reminds me of to do the things that I ought to do and not to put them off until a point where I will regret. The author actually uses a diving bell and a butterfly to describe himself when he is paralysed. Being a diver, I understand how he feels when he tried to say something but he is unable to do so. It is a touching movie but not one of those tearjerkers. Overall this movie is worth 4 stars out of 5.

This movie is only shown at Vivocity so we went all the way to watch it. Surprised to see the whole place is packed. Hee…. I headed to my aunt’s house after that, where I lost some money on blackjack, not a very good start huh? Hmm…..

Still got 2 more days to relax before the 5 days of holidays are over!

3rd jab @ 05/02/08 - $95

As you can see, even the price of the jab increased. Really cannot believed that. Inflation at work again! Wonder when it is going to be working on my pay instead. Sigh....

Back to the main topic... By right I should be fully protected from both Hep A and B. I should do any blood test in 5 yrs to check if it is still effective. I hope so, if not dunno how much they will cost by then! Sigh... At least now I think I can go and eat whatever I want to eat now. Wahahaha!

This movie is ALL ABOUT JAY CHOU! The movie is about a boy who was brought up in a KungFu school and was expelled as he had offended some gang. In the end, he was recuited by a guy who make use of his KungFu skills in a basketball court. So care to make a guess who is the hero of this movie?

To me, I dun think he can act in this movie. His expression is the same throughout the whole movie. Nothing to wow off the effects, mostly matrix style. If I can see the stunts being pulled off in a real basketball court, then I will be really surprised! I am not impressed with the storyline, it sort of rushed through the introduction within 5 mins so that Mr Chou can some out quickly. The rest of the co-stars have such short screen times that I wonder why are they in the film in the first place. Sigh...

In short, the movie fall short of my expectations. Overall I give this movie 1 star out of 5. This movie is for hardcore Jay Chou fan. He better stick to singing then.

Luckily this movie is a free preview, if not I will not spend money on this movie.

Dunno y I am so tired today?

Maybe it is the gloomy weather.

Today had one whole day to myself. Hee... So early in the morning, dragged my lazy ass to the gym for pump and combat. I totally enjoyed myself in the class today. Funny enough, I managed to do it without any breakfast.

After which, walked over to the travel agency in the rain, to collect the air tickets and hotel vouchor for the holiday. The trip is confirmed!

With the gloomy weather, it is a very good time to sleep. That is what I did! Wahahaha.... Woke up in time for dinner and with an aching body! OMG!

Well that sums up my boring yet tired Sunday!

Yesterday, found out another of my fav, Ah Kun, increased their prices again! From $3.90 they increased to $4.20 now. Sigh... Think I have to cut down on that as well. So sad! Hope that Toastbox dun increases their price!

3 more days to CNY!

A special day!

One year ago the answer was YES! and it had been an enjoyable year, with its own ups and downs.

Nothing much happened in the morning except I went for gym today alone (CPC again), got myself a kuku haircut (Dun wanna to talk about it).

Y am I at gym alone, cos someone was coughing badly, even dared to tell me that her lungs are coming out form all the coughing. In the end, I stopped all activities for her. Hee....

Since today is a special day, should plan something special right? Sad to say there wasn't, in the end we still land up having dinner with my mum and gang! Wahahaha...... At least I gave her something she never expected! Hee....

At night, we went to our "favourite" cafe due to some reason. Hee... After which we watched "Sweeney Todd: The Demon Barber of Fleet Street".

This is a Tim Burton and Johnny Depp film again. They have actually worked together in a number of films already. This moive is a musical, a dark musical. So Depp as Sweenty Todd is a barber that was unjustly thrown into jail and his wife and daugther was thrown into unknown consequences. Pls note that in this movie, 85% are songs and quite surprised that all of the cast can sing pretty well.

Depp actually brings out the agony of losing his family and how he is just foucs on revenge. Helena being Mrs Lovett, brings some of funny parts of the movie, on her pie making business.

To me, this is quite a dark and gory movie with a lot of blood splattering all over. I dun really think this is one of the best musical that had been converted to film, compared to Chicago, The Producers etc. Overall I will give this movie 3 star out of 5.

Hee... have a fun day today! Time to rest! Hee...
