Sigh... I am already in sort of a bad mood today yet bad things happened today. In fact in just a few mins ago. I am now sitting at TCC, the one near Plaza Singapura, keying this.
I was waiting for someone to show me a seat when:
Polarbear (PB): Hi, I would like to have an indoor seat near a power point please.
Waiter (W): Good afternoon, we have ran out of indoor seats. How about outdoor seats?
PB: Sure, can I request that once there is an available seat indoor, can I be given the seat?
W: Erhh... Sorry the priority is given to those in the queue.
PB: So are you telling me that you rather have me waiting in the line while not spending money in your cafe?
W: I did not say that. (At this point, I got sort of pissed off.)
PB: In this case, I would rather wait in the line.
W: Please let me go and check if any more seats indoor.
W: There is a table available soon, you can have it.
PB: Thanks.
I really wonder what kind of service or policy is that? Sigh. So if I belong to the impatient kind, I would have walked away from the cafe and NEVER come back.
Sigh so much so for good service.

GV increases tickets prices!
Sigh... after Cathay, GV had given in and decided to revise (Read: INCREASE) their ticket prices again! Weekdays tickets cost $7.50 and weekends tickets cost $10 now. OMG!
Watching movies is one of my favourite hobbies and it is really getting more expensive to watch movies now. Maybe should switch to DVD now.
To rub salt into the wound now, HSBC's offer is only valid from Monday to Wednesday (@ $6.50 per ticket) and Safra's disocunt is only on weekends (@ $8.50 per ticket).
At Cathay, with UOB or OCBC discount, it is $6 on weekdays and $8 on weekends.
Now think watching movie at Cathay is a cheaper option now.

The odd one had spoken!
Disclaimer: If you think you are the odd one, pls do not procced to read. Read at your own risk!
Reminder: This is my personal blog. So that I can write anything I like here! :P
Am I a difficult person to deal with or other people are the difficult ones?
Other people can have their moody days but I am not allowed to have one?
Must I be always the one to start a conversation with other people?
Someone (A princess wannabe but never one and will never be one, now who shall be known as the B****) recently kept creating trouble for LLT, by saying why her bf aka me, ignored her and her bf?
This B**** now turned the table and said that I was at wrong and all the silly stuff that she can ever imagined. So whatever she does is right and whatever other people does is wrong! So she thinks who I am? A clown that always need to keep people entertained huh? Pls lo, she can always ask her BF to entertain her instead lo! If not, if you pay me, I might consider about entertaining you in the first place!
Cannot believe that she brought her BF along so that she can showcase him in front of us and then expect us to entertain you and your BF. Pls lo! Your BF not a mute lo, can sing but cannot talk to us meh? How come I know she bring her BF dor showcase cos she sort of mentioned felt neglected with or without BF during the last session? I pity the BF lo! I think he need to go and check his eyesight in the first place.
Then she lagi good, go and complain. #*()%&)!&#%)
Somehow after discussion, we were wondering if she need me to endorse her BF... or even worse she is in love with me... Wahahaha. I think I am too good for b****** anyway.
Oh yes, I got a little confession to make. If you (YES YOU B****) have noticed, I truly had ignored you since long time ago! Even recently, I decided to treat you as invisible as people that I dun like dun even exist in my world at all! To me you are as good as dead! If you happen to be reading this, TAKE THAT YOU B****!
Oh yes one more thing! You are being BARRED from our wedding. Wahahaha!

Cathay ups ticket prices
By Asif Ansar, TODAY | Posted: 30 January 2008 0841 hrs
SINGAPORE : Expect to pay up to S$10.50 on a weekend to watch blockbusters such as Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince or The Chronicles of Narnia: Prince Caspian.
Prices for tickets at all Cathay cineplexes will go up on Thursday, adding to the rash of recent price increases including taxi fares, electronic road pricing and cooking gas.
At a media conference on Tuesday, the cinema operator and film distributor said it was raising ticket prices for films by 50 cents or about 6 per cent due to "escalating prices in goods, services, labour, film rentals and the Goods and Services Tax".
What's more, an additional 50 cents will be tagged on for blockbusters such as Harry Potter and Iron Man.
"The rising costs we have seen over the recent years is something we cannot ignore," said Mr Suhaimi Rafdi, the chief executive of Cathay Organisation Holdings, which has four cineplexes here.
The company had been "struggling to make ends meet" and had to jack up prices to "remain profitable".
Without disclosing details, Mr Rafdi said that the company had made a loss in 2006 and was expecting a "small profit" for last year.
Mr Rafdi said that Cathay would categorise a movie as a blockbuster only if it has an "A-list cast and/or director, a big production budget of more than US$100 million (S$142 million), is a part of a successful franchise (like Spider-Man, Batman and Shrek)" and open on the same day in Singapore as in the United States.
Only around 20 out of the hundreds of films released here would qualify as a blockbuster this year, he said.
So, with Cathay raising its ticket prices, will other cinemas follow suit?
"It's yet to be seen. They would probably want to see if there are any repercussions because this is a bold move on our part," said Mr Rafdi.
When contacted by TODAY, Shaw Organisation, which operates seven cineplexes here, said it would not be following Cathay's lead. "There has been some increase in our cinema operation costs. However, Shaw has no plan to raise its movie ticket prices at this point," Shaw's executive vice-president Mark Shaw told TODAY.
The other major operator, Golden Village, did not respond to TODAY's queries by press time. Moviegoers TODAY spoke to were mixed on the ticket price hike.
"It wouldn't affect the number of movies I watch. Fifty cents is not that much to me," said editor Audrey Wong, 32, who goes to the cinema at least four times a month. "It's still relatively cheaper than going to cinema in Europe or the US."
Marketing manager Irwin Tham, 28, said the hike would not deter him from watching new releases. "watching a movie at the cinema is different from watching it on DVD."
But film student Annette Heitmann, 21, said current ticket prices were already expensive and student movie rates did not soften the blow.
"It's useless because the rates apply during the day, when students have classes.
The price hike will affect students' decisions to visit the cinema as we have other alternatives", such as watching the latest movies on the Internet. - TODAY/il
Seem like I am going to watch less movies @ Cathay already. Hope that GV and the rest DO NOT follow them. Sigh... Wonder if the credit card promotions still remain the same in Cathay? How can they do such things now?
With all the production cost going higher and higher, I think next time all the movies will be under blockbuster already. Sigh.... $10 for a ticket? I know of the increasing cost but then they are selling their snacks and pop corns at such high price alr, the profit from there not enough meh? Think I need to smuggle more drinks and food into a cinema alr. Time to turn to DVDs or other cinema operators then.

Crowds Everywhere!
Crowds Everywhere!
It seems like since the taxis fare have increased the number of people taking both buses and trains also increases ten fold. Well seems like everyone is refusing to take taxis any more, well including me. Haa....
However, now every morning, the trains are super crowded. So packed that I am unable to read my papers. I used to be able to do that as well. The people are packed in such a way that I can smell what soap, shampoo and perfume that they are using. it does not help when that guy is sweating like a pig. Haa...
Even on weekends morning, the trains are packed like sardines and yet the train only come every 7 mins or so. WTH? Trying to save cost by getting people to squeeze right?
Maybe SMRT should really re-looked into their schedule and have more trains during peak hours. Say a train every 2 mins or something like that.
I really pity those on wheelchair or those carrying a lot of things. They simply cannot even squeeze onto the trains.

Bz with work!
Bz with work!
Polarbear had been leading boring life recently where my main focus had been on work as one of my projects' deadline is due.
That PM also did something that angered me as well. Instead of calling me to check on the status, he called my manager and asked her instead. So call using the top down method on me! WTF! So in the end, instead of putting much thought into it, I jz dumped everything in.
Then I finished all the required stuff today and supposed to pass it to him, he called me and told me he is very bz and could not get it form me today and to get it from me 2molo. So does the things from me urgent or not urgent? I wonder?
So one project done! I got to start on another one! Deadline also looming soon!
From my boss, I got one MEGA project coming soon! I wonder if I am able to handle that! Especially after seeing my colleagues being stressed from the same project (1st round).
My exams also coming in a month time. Better buck up now as well. Haa....
Wish me luck!

Tactless?!?
Tactless?!?
You know now all the insurance agents especially the newbies ones, will always have their roadshows at mrt stations or shopping centres. They are irritating, persistent (even after saying 1001 times NO!) and tactless at times. I met one yesterday. This happens to me when I was walking out of the station.
Insurance Agent (IA): "Are you a Malay?"
Me: "No, I am Chinese."
IA: "You sure? You dun look Chinese!"
Even though she is not the 1st one to say I look Malay, cos I am tanned.
But then when I tell you something, you dun doubt me on it! It seems like she is saying that I am lying to her! WTF! She is simply tactless and could have easily lost a customer like me due to her loose mouth!
Dun think her insurance career is going to last long if she continue like that.

Lazy day doing lazy things!
Lazy day doing lazy things!
Today is a cloudy and rainy day. Such a good day to waste it, so I continue to hide in my bed. Hee... Decided to give gym a miss since I had worked hard enough yesterday! Excuses. Haa....

LLT got free tickets to watch "The Bourne Ultimatum". I missed out the first two and sort of go in and watch with an open mind.
The movie is for Jason Bourne (Matt Damon) to find back his true identity and who was behind it! He actually run around the glode looking for clues etc. Never expect Matt Damon to be an action star but he did look very good and real in this movie. I give this movie 3 stars out of 5. Maybe I should rent the 1st 2 movies to watch to get the links. Hee...
Since this is a free screening, of cos there are ugly people. Sigh...
1. Before the movie starts, there was a queue system going on. So everyone join the queue. However when the cinema is ready for admission, the queue is gone and everyone rushes forward.
2. Since this is an action movie, how come parents would bring kids less than aged of 5 to the screening? Waste of tickets, then the kids are making tons of noise. I am lucky enough to have 2 such kids running and rolling around throughout the whole movie. The best thing, their parents jz let them run around! What kind of parents allow their kids to be such menace? What are the parents thinking in the 1st place bringing their kids to watch such movies! IOn fact I pity the kids being drags and to watch something they dun like in the 1st place. Sigh....
I dun mind if they are screening cartoons, I will understand that kids will be in the cinema and be noisy but not at some movie that they will not be interested in.
Well it jz spoilt the whole mood of watching movie that I was on the verge of walking out of the cinema and give up watching!
So I am making a plea to all parents: Pls know what movie to bring your kids to watch even though it is free!
