Busy Busy Weekend!

Busy Busy Weekend!

Haa... A lot of things happen through this weekend. Lots of things to blog. Haa.... I think I will break them into parts.

Friday night, finally met up with HW. Haa... Partly to see him to make sure he is ok. Hee... Did usual stuff like dinner and shopping then movies. Haa.... So what did we watched? Spider Lilies.

It is about a webcam girl, trying to get a tattoo to spice up with her online customers. Happened to met up with her old neighbour who is her tattooist as well. She saw this spider lilies tattoo on the wall and wanted to do the same as well but did not know the meaning behind the tattoo. Meantime, she also professes her love for tattooist online and tries to seduce her as well.

Overall the movie is good but dun quite like the flashback here and there, keep repeating the same old things, tend to make it boring and confusing as well. I give the movie 3 stars out of 5.

On Sunday, managed to watch Surf Up, a cartoon.

Surf's Up is an animated comedy that delves behind the scenes of the high-octane world of competitive surfing. The file profiles teenage Rockhopper penguin Cody Maverick (Shia LaBeouf), an up-and-coming surfer, as he enters his first pro competition. Followed by a camera crew to document his experiences, Cody leaves his family ad home in Shivepool, Antarctica to travel to Pen Gu Island for the Big Z Memorial Surf Off. Along the way, Cody meets surf nut Chicken Joe (jo Heder), famous surf promoter Reggie Belafonte (James Woods), surf talent scout Mikey Abromowitz (Mario Cantone), and spirited lifeguard Lani Aliikai (Zooey Deschanel), all of whom recognize Cody's passion for surfing, even if it sometimes goes too far. Cody believes that winning will bring him the admiration and respect he desires, but when he unexpectedly comes face-to-face with a washed-up old surfer named Geek (Jeff Bridges), Cody begins to find his own way, and discover that a true winner isn't always the one who comes in first.

Quite like this show and the meanings behind the movie as well. Like the way they drew the water of the sea to be so realistic and makes me want to jump in as well. Overall, I give the movie 4 stars out of 5. Great cartoon!

Hmm... still got a few more movies to watch till the end of summer!

Will follow up with what happen over the weekend in the next few post. Haa.....
