3 gym classes in a row!
First Class: Attack. I had not do Attack for so long and I forgot that it was so much fun to do! However at the end of the class, I was tired already. Hee...
Second Class: Pump. Decided to take less weights and go through the class. Clever idea by myself as I am still doign fine after the class.
Last Class: Combat. First time doing the release and I do not like any of the songs doing the track only once. Hope that they will grow on me. It was quite a simple release but I think I do not have much energy left at the end of it.
I think I need to do more classes to build up my stamina or I am just getting older already. Hee...

Launch of Body Combat 37 and Body Pump 67
This is my first time in at Parkway Parade gym. I am quite impressed with the gym, big and spacious. Maybe I should be here more often. Hee...
Well back to the new releases.
I quite like Combat 37, even though I find the music is a bit boring but the moves definitely makes up for it. Halfway through the tracks, I am already tried. Hee... This might be due to me only doing combat once a week. This release is really quite challenging and definitely will be quite challenging for those who just took up combat as well. Looking forward to do it a few more time if time permits and think will get to see a number of tracks being reused when the instructors mixed up the tracks. I had fun with it!
For Pump 67, I was surprised by the warm up track using Bleeding Love. Hmm other than this, I really find this release much the same as the other pump releases as well. At least the music still rocks for this release. Hee...
After attending the two classes, I am so tired that I went home straight to sleep. Hee...
I miss gym so much.

Body Combat 36
Back to this release, other than the warm up track and the track four. Other than this, I dun really find myself enjoying this new release. I find this new release a bit too taxing on the legs. There isn't any particular songs that stood out as well. Hee...
Still it was a pretty good workout. There is something that I do not understand, how can someone (other than instructors) can do the same 10 tracks within 3 hours. Get a life man!

Tired now!
Y m I doing so many classes? Cos I am more busy with work and going to travel more, means less time for gym, so I am doing more at a time. Another reason is I am going for a wedding dinner later as well! Hee... More good food! Hee...
I am feeling so tired now!

A dancing bear!
It started off on Friday where he went gym and did Body Pump and Step. It has been a very long time since he did Step, but managed to do the whole routine without any major problems. Wahahahaha! Time to do more Step classes!
Saturday, woke up early to catch one of the Singapore Film Festival movies, Lucky 7 @ National Museum. This experimental film has 7 directors in it, where each of them shot 10 -12 mins of the film, after having watched the last min of work by the last director. The only catch is they have to use the same main actor. Well to me, this movie started off pretty well, but then lost focus in between as each different director tried to tackle different issues but not giving any thoughts to the storyline. Good effort for them.
After which, went to gym to do the last "mixed track" before the launch of the new Body Combat 35 on Sunday. Went home after that cos going clubbing at night! Yeah!
Met up with Claudia, Rayner, Jonathan, Christine and Doris at UE Square, En Japanese Dining Bar, for dinner. (Look out for the review). Yebber people is my new group of Makan kakis. Every meal with them is fun with endless topics as well. The only bad thing is before one dinner is over, we started planning like the next 3 dinners already. Wahahahaha.
Next is the event hat we had been talking for long but yet to be carried out, in the end only 4 people went clubbing! To me, Dbl O is a place where only NS men and girls hang out. Reason being the drinks there are dirt cheap @ $12 per jug! However I think I am wrong, there are a lot of youths (aged 35 and below) there as well. Wahahaha. They still have the bar and the disco area separated, which is good, as when tired can jz walked to the "quiet" area for a while.
In the end, in the castle of Dbl O, there lived a dancing queen, king and prince. Go guess who is the king and queen. What I can say is, I am the prince ok! Wahahahaha! It was retro night but sort of started off a bit late. However, we had fun for nearly 3 hours on the dance floor before we called it a day! Totally crazy!
Slept at 4 plus am but woke up at 8am to go for the launch of Body Combat 35. Well have to say the tracks are not bad but I think will take sometime to get used to it. Do like the Hairspray track though. The conditioning track is also a killer as well. Well good or not good, still going to do it for the next 2 weeks before they mixed the tracks again.
After which, rushed to St Regis. YES! The 6-star hotel for dim sum @ Yan Ting. Thks to someone's recommendation. Even before we pay the cab driver, the doors of the cab were already open by the zealous doorman. Once inside, we were awed by the 1930s European decoration. Even the lift is carpeted with a bench inside some more. Wow! More about the lunch in the review. Hee....
I ended my weekend activities there and went home and rest for the night. Totally shagged out!

A back to gym weekend! Happy Birthday Siti!
I also watched 2 movies on Saturday as well. Both are Oscar nominated and therefore I make it a must to watch these films.
First movie is La Vie En Rose. Since the lead actress won the Best Actress, it makes me wonder if she can really win Ellen Page of Juno.

The movie is about the life of Edith Piaf’s life. From the slums of Paris to the limelight of New York, Edith Piaf’s life was a battle to sing and survive, live and love. Raised in poverty, Edith’s magical voice and her passionate romances and friendships with the greatest names of the period - Marlene Dietrich, Yves Montand and others- made her a star all around the world. The true story of her incredible destiny opens a window onto the artist’s soul and into a woman’s heart.
This movie moves forward and backward of her life from childhood to her death. Have to say that the lead actress, Marion Cotillard, really deserved the win. She is really good from all the little small habits to her singing. I am totally impressed by her performance. Overall, I give this movie 4 stars out of 5.
The next movie is No Country for Old Men. This movie is nominated for 8 awards and won 4 awards.

The story begins when Llewelyn Moss (Brolin) finds a pickup truck surrounded by a sentry of dead men. A load of heroin and two million dollars in cash are still in the back. When Moss takes the money, he sets off a chain reaction of catastrophic violence that not even the law - in the person of aging, disillusioned Sheriff Bell (Jones) - can contain. As Moss tries to evade his pursuers - in particular a mysterious mastermind who flips coins for human lives (Bardem) - the film simultaneously strips down the American crime drama and broadens its concerns to encompass themes as ancient as the Bible and as bloodily contemporary as this morning's headlines.
For the whole movie, it got comedy hidden inside the horror story. Have to say that the directors are really good to make this dark theme film. The murderer is really good and Javier Bardem really deserves the Best Supporting Actor. he is really scary in the movie and as heartless as well. The story line need some thinking to understand what is going on and with the movie ending abrupt, it did surprised most of the movie goers. The movie is exciting at moments yet got comedy hidden here and there. The acting by the main cast are solid! Overall, I give this movie 4.5 stars out of 5. Think I will go and read the book to understand the plot better.
Watched 2 "got a lot of depth" movies really took a toll on me. Tired!
On Sunday, as usual went to gym, then met with Siti and rest of the mentors to celebrate her birthday! Went KTV to celebrate her birthday. Hope you like your present ok! After which, rushed to airport to send LLT's parents off to BKK and at the same time to eat Popeyes Chicken And Biscuits' Gallery. Ate it 2 times in a day! Hee... Totally wonderful.
The weekend yet went past in a flash. So looking forward to my BKK at the end of this month!

So many things to do, so little time!
Well before I get officially busy with my work and my FYP, I need to enjoy as much as possible. Hee....
This week, I had been to 4 combat classes alr, one a day! Cannot believe that! Haa... That explains for my aching legs. Hee....

1. The Savages
2. American Gangster (Going off screen soon!)

5. The Diving Bell and the Butterfly
6. The Mist

8. Mr Average
9. Trade (Going off screen soon!)
Maybe a movie a day will settle it or a marathon of 2 movies at one time? Hmm... So who keen to watch with me?

A working hard weekend!
The weekend started off with a series of gym sessions. Haa.. Totally crazy to go for Combat Pump Combat and to think that I actually increased my pump weight. Haa... The instructors are also in crazy mode but then it jz felt good after the whole thing. Hee....
After which, walked ard to try to do some shopping, nothing much to buy though. CNY coming yet no mood to find new clothes.
Decided to watch a movie since AWARDS time are coming and all the good movies are coming out at the same time as well. So decided to watch Micheal Clayton.

The movie was about Michael Clayton (George Clooney) is an in-house “fixer” at one of the largest corporate law firms in New York. A former criminal prosecutor, Clayton takes care of dirtiest work at the behest of the firm’s co-founder. Though burned out and hardly content with his job as a fixer, a failed business venture and mounting debt have left Clayton tied to the firm.
At U/North, the career of litigator Karen Crowder (Tilda Swinton) rests on the multi-million dollar settlement of a class action suit that Clayton’s firm is leading to a seemingly successful conclusion, for a long 6 yrs. When Kenner Bach’s brilliant and guilt-ridden attorney Arthur Edens (Tom Wilkinson) sabotages the U/North case, Clayton faces the biggest challenge of his career and his life.
It is a 2 hour thriller, interesting but someone was sleeping me at times. So tired hor. Haa.... It shows the ending first then goes back to the start of everything. This is one of George Clooney's best role! Have to give him credit for it as well. Overall I give this film 3 stars out of 5.
Sunday went back gym for anther session of pump and combat and then we are back to KM8 to chill out and suntan. The sun was out on full force. So happy! Hee... I really should do this more often! I need to get darker! Should I bring Oscar out as well? Hmm.... So many big dogs there leh! I think he will go crazy lo.
I am sure I am going to ache like nobody else business 2molo. Haa...

Long time no exercise liao!
For the past week had been slacking from the wedding dinner to holiday and parties that I have no time to go and gym. Sigh....
So went for pump and combat. OMG! 2 hours back to back is really siong today. Haa.... Hmm... come to think of it when was the last time I did that? Haa... Well have been eating good things, think I really need to work hard to get rid of the spare tyre. Hee....
Before gym today, manged to drag my lazy ass out for an early movie, Alvin and the Chipmunks.

However after watching the movie, I have to say that I was impressed. The movie was about how they were discovered and become superstars while some domestic issues happen between them and Dave, their "dad". It is pretty entertaining but still this does not mean I approve of buying their soundtrack. Haa... Overall I give this movie 3 stars out of 5 for great CGI of the chipmunks.
After which, while someone was enjoying at Fish Leong's concert, I was enjoying a family dinner @ Paramount Hotel. BUFFET! Eating myself silly, it has been a long time since I do this. Cool! Forgetting about the afternoon session of gym alr. Haa... I now sort of regretted about it. Seems like to work 5 times harder from now onwards. Haa....

New release of Body Combat and Pump
This week marks the new releases of both Combat and Pump.
Went for the launch and found that Combat is more challenging with all the combinations and I am getting used to it. A lot of kicks in this release. Haa... Loved the Rihanna track!
For pump, nothing much expect the combination of 2 count up and down followed by 2 singles. Still pretty much the same. The tracks are also pretty good.
Going to do this for the next 2 weeks. Going to have a lot of fun with it.

A Good Friday indeed!
Finally a long weekend and a holiday after a month! Haa.... Good time to go and scuba dive but...
Since the holiday started on Thursday night, as usual, it is a gym session. I regretted attending the Sculpt and Abs class and I was late for combat! So after which we will catch a movie and this time round we chose to catch some arty farty movie, "I Don't Want to Sleep Alone" by a Malaysian born but based in Taiwan director, Tsai Ming-Liang, who produced a "porn" show last time round.

Review from InCinemas: "After being attacked and robbed in Kuala Lumpur, the homeless Hsiao Kang is taken in by some Bangladeshi workers. One of them, Rawang, lets Hsiao Kang sleep beside him on an old mattress he has found. As he nurses Hsiao Kang’s wounded body, he feels calm and contented. Is it because of the mattress or because of Hsiao Kang? Chyi, who waits tables in a small coffee shop, is also nursing someone: her lady boss’s paralysed son. Chyi hates her life. When she happens to meet Hsiao Kang, her body fills with lustful desires. However, her difficulty in finding a place to have sex with him brings home to her just how little freedom she has.
As Hsiao Kang slowly recovers, he finds himself caught between Rawang and Chyi, pleading for attention like a stray cat but equally capable of fluttering away as free as a moth. Chyi’s lady boss also develops lustful feelings for Hsiao Kang, finding that he resembles her paralysed son...
Meanwhile a heavy haze envelops the city that is so humid that it reeks of the sweat of its multi-ethnic population. These men and women and the old mattress lose their way in the haze, but perhaps find each other …"
After watching the show, I think I understand what the director is trying to show. Haa... The whole show almost got no dialogue from the male and female lead. Somehow, I dun understand why he uses sex to be the common link between the actors. Haa... Including the one between the 2 men. Wonder they jz wanna to sleep together or they did more? Hmm....Many more questions to be ask after the show then. Haa... Overall will give the show 3 stars out of 5.
One thing to say also not booking tickets online from Cathay will not have any credit card discount alr. Sianz... For the discount, got to buy it over counter. Not fair right? Sad. Think I will watch less shows from Cathay from now onwards! Sigh.... Me very sad at the thought of that!
On Good Friday, woke up early and went for 2 hrs of Combat Special! Haa... It was great and I managed to survive from it! The whole 2 hours! The feeling of completing it was great! Haa... Looking forward to more of these kinda of sessions!
After which, decided to go for my long over due haircut at an expensive salon. Haa... No shop names mentioned here ok. Have to say that it is a bit expensive for cut and blow ($42 but I got a discount). However the experience was great and now I got a "boyish" looking hairstyle. The kind that I like, minimum styling and easy to style as well. The wash experience was kinda of funny as it felt very ticklish. Haa...
Next with my new haircut, decided to go for a shopping spree and bought a very youthful looking shirt and T shirt to wear and someone got a gift from me as well! Haa... hope you like the T shirt ok! At least it is in your favourite colour.
After which, I went home and rot while someone got other appointments. Haa... Going to be like this for the next few days as well. Poor me. Sob! Sob!
So excited! I am going to attend Jolin's Concert 2molo! It will be great and I got front row seats some more! So looking forward to the concert and have a fun time there! So what I am going to wear 2molo for the concert? Hmm... This will be the first out of 3 concerts I will be attending in the upcoming months! How cool is that? Haa.....

Bean there, done that twice!
This weekend nothing special. Pretty much normal weekend for me. Supposed to work on my assignment but in the end did not really do anything on it. Haa.... This means I am in DEEP SHIT!
Started the weekend with a combo of Body pump and combat classes. It had been a week since I last attended any class since I am rushing my last assignment the whole of last week. It was crazy. I ended up with aching legs that much lasted me through the whole weekend. Haa...
After which, ended the night with the only show I watched over the weekend, Mr Bean's Holiday. Hmm... Supposed to watch this with Siti and Winnie on Saturday morning. Sorry leh ladies, last min got to go library and find some books on Saturday morning. In the end, I was cheated by the online search and ended nothing at Woodlands library. Thks Siti for helping me to get the book form Jurong library. Hee....
Anyway back to the movie. The movie was Mr Bean second movie outing and the first one was 10 years ago. The story started off as Mr Bean tired of the dreary, wet London weather, and packs up his suitcase and camcorder to head to Cannes for some sun on the beach. Not that he paid for it but he won it through some fund raising event for a roof top. Ah...vacation. But his trip doesn't go as smoothly as he had hoped when the bumbling Bean falls face first into a series of mishaps and fortunate coincidences, far-fetched enough to make his own avant-garde film. He ended up "babysitting" a kid who got separated from his dad. Who caused that to happen? No prize for guessing the right answer. So a series of things happened along the way as both the kid and Mr Bean are heading towards the same direction. I had to say that I was impressed with the ending which was very cleverly thought of to link up the whole story.
I find the movie a bit draggy at times with tons of reused jokes form Mr Bean series, which I happen to be a BIG fan of it. Overall, it is an entertaining film that no brain cells are used when watching the show. Haa... I will give the movie 3.5 stars out of 5, the 0.5 star is for the interesting twist to the ending of the show.
Saturday, nothing much happen less going for combat class again. My fav class of the week. Then slack at TCC for some chit chat, then meet up with HW for Mr Bean again. Yes! The only show I watch over the weekend. Meeting HW is always a fun event for me, even though we usually do the same normal stuff like movies and la kopi. Cos we got endless topics to talk on and it jz goes on and on. Haa... This time round we la kopi until 4 am in the morning. Still have not break any record yet though. Coffee Club is always our default la kopi location! My fav morning dew!
Tried doing my assignment but then decided to sleep cos I am so tired. My brain cannot function as normal already.
Going to sleep alr... .... ZZZ zzz

Feeling tired!
Hmm... dunno y I am feeling so sluggish today? Hmm.... I think could be really due to the lack of sleep since I have been waking up early even on weekends. Haa..... Maybe it could be school work that is also making me starting to lose my sleep. Sigh... Maybe it could be something else? (Yes got nothing to do with YOU! Dun worry!) Haa...
So what do I need now? I think a solid 12 hr sleep of me will do wonders for me. If it also does not work, then I really dunno what to do alr. Haa.... Where to find time to sleep? So many things to do but so little time to do. I need to do some time management alr. Sigh...
For lunch, met up with Siti since we have not seen each other for so long. Had fun talking to her. Haa.... Dun ask me y she is not in school? Haa....
Dig out a lot of things, dun worry ur secrets are safe with me. Haa.... Hmm... Y dun like to take pics with me huh? I too ugly for ur blog huh? Sad leh. :(
Haa.... Jz wanna to say to you study hard, dun get distracted by all other stuff and take care!
After work, went to gym again. Thought that will be going for combat only, in the end also went for the Scuplt/Abs. Wrong choice! I put in much effort for the combat and did not expect scuplt/abs to be really so tough! It was fast paced and with some really tough moves. Haa... I sort of gave up half way but still managed to hang ard until the end of the class. Phew! Can go for the class again but I have to take time to get used to it and no other classes before that. Haa...
Finally had a subway sandwich with Hearty Italian! Y so hard to get the bread huh? Hmm....
So tired! Going to sleep now! ZZZzzz.... Sweet dreams to all!

A weekend of fun!
This weekend started off with a bang! Haa... Saw 2 movies over the weekend. The first one is a romantic weepy Korean show, "Once in a summer". To me, Koreans romantic movies are the best, I always shed a tear or two whenever I watched one. The one that I shed most tears were "You are my sunshine" and "My sassy girlfriend". Jz classic romantic weepy movies! I loved it!

Anyway back to the movie, it is a heart-warming love story starring Lee Byung-hun who embarks on a quest to find out what happened to his first and only love (Su-Ae), who had mysteriously disappeared years ago. When still in college, Suk-young (Lee) then traveled with student volunteers to a remote village in the countryside in an attempt to escape the supervision of his strict father. He met the beautiful Jung-in (Su) there, and it was love at first sight. However, as the summer drew to a close, the couple faced a challenge to their willpower. Well the ending is sad, but then it was shot beautifully at country side and the whole movie was done so romantic, seeing how the guy go all out to chase after the girl. Haa... Go and watch it with someone special in your life. If not jz go with ur frens. Haa....

The second movie was the much acclaimed, oscar nominated movie, "Babel". The movie is set in the remote sands of the Moroccan desert, a rifle shot rings out - detonating a chain of events that will link an American tourist couple’s frantic struggle to survive, two Moroccan boys involved in an accidental crime, a nanny illegally crossing into Mexico with two American children and a Japanese teen rebel whose father is sought by the police in Tokyo.
The special thing about this movie is it started off with 4 different stories in 4 different countries and slowly in the movie, the link between the 4 stories surfaced. There are also a lot of meanings behind each story and when the stories are linked up. The usual things are like love, loneliness, hatred, etc.. Jz loved the movie! Great! Haa...
Other then watching movies, organised a potluck on Saturday night. It was fun! Thks for you all for attending the potluck. Thks Erica for the home made cheesecake and her flat! Thks the rest, Ben, HC, SP, Gina, LC for the wine and the food and entertaining my OSCAR! Haa... Fun talking and eating like that and cannot imagine we actually spend the whole night with no music and tv and yet does not feel boring at the same time. Haa... We can do this more often next time ok! Hee... Noticed that a lot of the dogs photos were taken and yet we forgot to take a grp pic! Sigh! Next time got to do it ok! OSCAR get to know a new fren named Effie. Haa... Poor thing! Got shaved looked kinda of cute now. Haa...
The rest of the weekend are pretty much the same, went gym on Sunday but this time to vivocity outlet, nice view of sentosa but pretty small place. The studio's air con is under maintenance so the whole workout was HOT HOT HOT! Sweating like a pig! Haa...
Yesterday rushed home to watch Project superstar. Well to say both are good and congrats to Darren who won it! Expected it anyway. Haa...
I am now tired, and still coughing. Haa.... I had been drinking tons and tons of water alr! When will the torture stop? Hmm... Did not touch my books at all over the weekend. Better start soon!

Self confession of a Combat and Movie Freak!
Ever since Polarbear signed up the gym membership, Polarbear got a new hobby which is going to gym. Haa... I totally like Body Combat where it is a good what to train up my stamina and relief my stress at the same time. Haa.... Other than Combat, also attended Pump, Attack, Step Hi Lo (which is a killer) and Street Jazz (relaxing and learn to groove at the same time). It is getting fun and I need to build up some basic program for me to build up some muscles then. Hmm... However, I still need some time to train before I can attend 2 classes back to back. Haa... Nearly died with Pump and Attack back to back on Friday. Someone mentioned that she will buy me a book on that and a singlet. Haa... So when I am getting it?
The first movie is "Confession of Pain", a Hong Kong made movie. The main cast are Tony Leung Chiu-wai, Takeshi Kaneshiro, Shu Qi, Chapman To. Wow got Tony Leung, to me, he is the best actor of all times, even better than most of the Hollywood actors. He got the most mesmerising eyes which can tells a lot of stories. The story is about how a guy planned his revenge and how a private detective actually found out about the truth. The story line is somehow similar to Internal Affairs, well same directors ad scriptwriters. Haa... I find that the story telling for this movie is better. I will give this movie 3.5 stars out of 5. Go and watch it!
The next movie is "Stranger than Friction" starred by Will Ferrell, Emma Thompson, Maggie Gyllenhaal, Dustin Hoffman, Queen Latifah, Linda Hunt.
Interesting story plot. It is about a guy, Harold Cricks, kept hearing a voice that was narrating his life story and he was irritated by it. However he was shocked to hear from the voice that "Little did he know, he is going to have an imminent death." He panicked from that moment onwards and try to find out who is the one that did the narration. Others think that he is going crazy.
Meantime, The Narrator, Kay Eiffel (Emma Thompson), a nearly forgotten author of tragic novels, is struggling to complete her latest and best book, unaware that her protagonist is alive and uncontrollably guided by her words. Fiction and reality collide when the bewildered and hilariously resistant.
Desperate to escape his fate, Harold seeks help from eccentric English professor Dr. Jules Hilbert (Dustin Hoffman) and finds unexpected comfort in a burgeoning romance with defiant audit subject, Anne Pascal (Maggie Gyllenhaal). Unluckily for Harold, Kay's impatient publishers have unleashed a stern assistant named Penny Escher (Queen Latifah) to help the author finish her book and finish off Harold Crick. So was he killed off? Go and watch the show. Haa.... I give the movie 3.5 stars out of 5. Could be 4 stars but a bit draggy in some parts. Haa...
Wonder if there is anyone writing my life story now? If there is one, can you pls make sure my life is meaningful ok! I also wanna it packed and to be interesting. Of cos if you want to introduce a female lead in my life now, PLS DO SO! Haa... However I believe I am the writer of my own life, so wake up my bloody idea now and start writing my own story!
During the weekend, finally met up with HW again! It is always great to meet up with him even though I could have killed him when we met up. Haa... Out of my frens, as if I got a lot,I would only ask and listen to advice from a few frens mainly HW, Dan and SK. Haa... Even though sometimes they might not agree with my thinking but I do need ppl to tell me things from the other side of the fence as well to help me out in the logic thinking. Haa...
Got a problem recently, dunno how to deal with it and to me I dun wish to deal with it as I am tired from it alr. Haa... Hope that I can solve the problem soon and move on from it. Sigh. Headache leh.
Well school is going to start soon. I got to get myself ready for it and hope to get good results again. Haa... Jia You!
